Sounds like that whole police force needs to be disbanded and start over fresh

Officer Friendly was expecting them to wear a jaunty hat with a Press tag stuck into the brim.

Seriously, the whole thing just reeks. This country’s law and order institutions are steeped in racism.

Remember the outrage when Obama said that if he had a son he would’ve looked like Trayvon Martin? Or how about the jeers when he had his beer summit with that professor who was arrested breaking into his own home?

I’m just heartbroken and yet not surprised at all.

“In the course of clearing the streets and restoring order at Lake Street and Snelling Avenue, four people were arrested by State Patrol troopers, including three members of a CNN crew,” the Minnesota State Patrol tweeted. “The three were released once they were confirmed to be members of the media.”

That they were members of the media could have been confirmed at the location of the arrest.

Watched it live this morning and as soon as they turned the camera around on the reporter I knew why he was being arrested. It was as simple as that.

I guess he was reporting while black/latino.

When officers realized the footage looked bad, I mean he was a member of the press, he was released.

High melanin content in the screen is indicative of criminality. If CNN doesn’t want their reporters arrested, send white ones.

Don’t discard that they might have done it on purpose to embarrass the elected officials that are Democratic. Cops are all in their fellow swine Trump, who I guess they see him as the personification of “Law & Order”.

Hey, Governor, you might want to fire those cops, too.

The TV camera wasn’t a giveaway that they might be there as reporters? So your cops had to take them into custody to verify?

Bullshit. This was police harassment at its most basic level.

If you’re really sorry, their asses are out the door as an example to the rest of the force that this shit won’t be tolerated.

Doncha know that Reporting While Black is a thing?

Not good thing but still a thing nonetheless.

What the hell were those cops thinking? Do they not realize how bad this looks? These people are insane!

We need to track the chain of command like a bad virus in this instance, someone needs to be both exposed and relieved of duty for it.
Trump’s minions are making their move.
Someone’s pushing for boogaloo, and if they keep killing our black brother and sisters with such impunity, they will get it.
What is the racial make-up of the National Guard these days?
I wonder if Trump thinks they are his to command?
Think on that for a moment.
Would a team of black National Guardsman have allowed those white cops to murder George Floyd if they were witnesses?
Maybe this is what we need to consider.

The Woss in the White House is is attempting to live his cowardly life, as what he sees as real men, will back any police action that blocks the press.
This manly man should make an appearance to show his leadership abilities.

This was about sending a message. The police may have been polite and all, but this still has a chilling effect.

Which is the point.

Minnesota seems to be having a bit of a racial disconnect. White reporter arrested, I doubt it. They better get their act together this is not looking good.

And it’s only now Friday…

The next two nights should be rather interesting.

No, in fact the white CNN reporter nearby was not arrested.

Not sure they ever did. The governor saw it and said, “What in the holy fuck are you idiots doing? Set them free. NOW!”

I’m with @castor_troy on this. They should already be fired.
