Hey, it’s ridiculous that they shut down those meat-processing plants over a mere few hundred cases.

Heck, not even 20 people would be expected to die out of it, and quarterly sales need their boost…

And everything should be fine so long as customers cook the meat. So maybe lay off the beef tartare for a bit and it’s all copacetic. Also, the risk of infection during shipping and handling would probably be very low. Because that’s what the balance sheets say they need to be.

The Milwaukee Health Department has found seven cases of coronavirus likely linked to the election two weeks ago.

At least seven. If 80% of the people with symptoms never get sick enough to go to the hospital, or get severe enough symptons to qualify for testing, then the actual number would be more like 35. We’re working with small numbers though, so of course there would be pretty high statistical variability for the actual number of cases, as opposed to reported cases.
