He has ordered a glass of bleach and a long narrow lightbulb for lunch.
Hell, be generous, folks! Give him the whole jug.
Having read the actual memo, it seems to me that its not just about people who have been hospitalized, but anyone who has tested positive for Covid 19, to witâŚ
note the phrase "a history of Covid-19, confirmed by either a laboratory testâŚ
Reduced lung capacity is a legitimate reason but this does make one wonder what the military knows about Covid survivorsâs condition.
Another possibility is far uglier. Is this a move by Stephen Miller to reduce the number of minorities in the military?
ETA: The second paragraph was accidentally omitted. @castor_troy
Wouldnât read too much into it. Itâs because we donât have long-term indicators yet that theyâre taking precautions.
Recruits are expensive pieces of equipment to bring on, train and equip. If youâre getting one thatâs broken, and the real effects arenât going to show up for six months or a year or more, thatâs a bad investment on the part of the military.
Note the change I made in the post.
Meh, I doubt it. The military does what the military does, theyâre just not sure how to respond to this until more data is in play as to the risk level theyâre taking on for the future.
The military desperately needs minority participation.
I guess the brass didnât get the memo that COVID-19 is a hoax dreamed up by the Democrats to make Herr Diaperboy look bad.
This is a bull Phucky move with dumpster toddy fingerprints all over it. As retired Army I say will not stand if I have any say in fighting this nonsense. It seems more of a future cost saving.

Not if they are attached to a large orange buffoon.
I might be misremembering, but didnât this same military demote a captain for trying to prevent a ship load of sailors from spreading covid-19 in the name of national readiness?
Only if you ask. Many times.
True. But do you really, think that Stephen Miller would care?
I hope you are right. My view of Trump Inc. is pretty bleak.
âThe Pentagon declined to say why it believes COVID-19 to be permanently disqualifying, or when it would issue permanent guidance on the issue.â
Immediate question. What do they know that we donât?
Why should he? It is not like he is going to rub shoulders in the barracks any time soon.
So let me get this straight, we have no reason to believe Covid survivors arenât immune, right? So structuring our military so that they are fully vulnerable to a bio-weapons attack using Covid-19 would seem somewhat foolhardy, right? In fact, it borders on a Putin wet dream.
Given the current predictions that virtually everyone will get COVID-19, this ban would appear to be the first definitive step in eliminating the US Armed Services.
Kinda covered upthread. Nothing, we just donât know the long-term impacts that it may or may not have, and there are indications of those popping up, some more severe than others.
So until that gets settled and better understood, they donât want to take on additional risk with new recruits.
