" House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is once again reminding his members that their job isn’t really about legislating. Figuring out what is in a bill is the president’s job, not theirs, he contends."

I’m so old, I can remember when the President’s “bill” was taken as a mere suggestion, but most frequently as a joke, by the two independent and co-equal (but more equal than the president) branches of government.

Am I the only one bothered by Tiny Johnson calling this bill a “product”?

Mike Johnson isn’t a Christian. He just pretends to be one for political purposes, like the rest of the MAGAts.

The only thing that came out of trump 1 was the shitty tax bill. Another shitty tax, along with a whole bunch of other shit, will be the only thing to come out of trump 2.

Re: Pro Publica findings on Texas ER admissions

Well, look. 54% more women needing blood transfusions because they had a miscarriage and could not receive D&C to complete the process safely – that means EXTRA BILLING! Ka-CHING!

More women having to go to the ER in the first place because of miscarriages, many of which could have been avoided by early-term, even medication abortions – that’s MORE MONEY! What’s not to like?

It won’t actually get ugly for the business class until the Big Bloated Budget-
Buster gets passed and signed, and all those women formerly on Medicaid start coming into ERs, with no government insurance or means of paying.

TPM’s Josh Kovensky: *DOJ Opens Door To Stripping Citizenship Over Politics

One of the reasons Republicans can comfortably do this is they realize we would never weaponize the government and abuse our power in this way when we’re in charge. It’s a disadvantage of being a decent and honorable person/party.
