DOOCY: Indeed, so, we want you to be safe. Anyway, last night about the time the shooting started nearby where you were, naturally your phone died, but the one thing, to your credit, is you were actually carrying a gun. You have a constitutionally carrying a gun, and the people at the restaurant you were at, you helped walk out to their cars so they could be safe.

Maybe I’m misremembering this, but weren’t there prominent Israeli politicians who were quite friendly with Putin and a bit hostile to Biden and the Democrats?
I ask because Putin’s support for Hamas isn’t something I’m misremembering.

We are living in interesting times. There is a strong resurgence in the revelation sect who see everything as a sign of the end times but this guy, something about his eyes. He’s gonna bring the wacko and doesn’t give a damn. My hope is that the increasing chaos in the house turns off enough republican voters and energizes dems that it will have been worth the short-term pain when we retake the house.

This is exactly what rang bells in my head when he went from “WHO?” to Speaker in a matter of hours …as though the GOP was saying “quick - get this done before his bio gets circulated.”
