There should be an aggressive reaction to those who would seek to damage the process by which a free person may select his/her political leaders.
I, along with most of us, have anticipated these shenanigans in red and purple states. To accept them is political suicide. We did not pass needed Voting Rights legislation due to a recalcitrant U.S. Senate.
The DOJ is going to have to get more involved. We cannot have bullying replacing voting.

It really sucks that now we really have to worry about every election being stolen or legitimate election results being overturned.
And only one team is responsible for this (it isn’t the Democrats).

I, for one, can name more Secretaries of State for individual states now than I ever could before, with anything over one being the tipping point. Jocelyn Benson is right up there with Brad Raffensperger and my own in AZ, Katie Hobbs. Jocelyn comes across as intelligent, professional and dead serious about what needs to be done. My wife has told me my whole life that there are places in northern MI, where she grew up, that rival any southern state for sheer ignorance and racism. These last few years have erased any doubts I might have had about this.
For more than 6 years now I have felt like I am in a screenplay written by Kafka and being directed by David Lynch. I don’t think the mid-terms are going to resolve this.

The tragedy is not the Oligarchs nor the racists. They have been in these United States for centuries. The tragedy is that of those of us who have the numerical power to vote them out choosing to not vote ON THEIR OWN VOLITION

This is what I’ve bee thinking. Unless I’m misunderstanding, this is just R’s f**king with other R’s. I get that it’s major in the sense they are impeding the democratic process, but for now (again, unless I’m misunderstanding), they’re just screwing each other.
On the other hand, they are exposing their hand and showing the tactics they plan on using in November. I have major concerns re. November, so much so I’m considering volunteering as an observer or in some such manner in MI where I live (and the R’s have BIG plans for stealing elections).
So these primary squabbles, aren’t they just providing intel to allow normal Americans to prepare for what they plan to attempt in November? If so, please proceed.

I just got back from Europe. The questions I got about guns, healthcare and voting were numerous. They think our systems are broken and corrupt, but know we aren’t ALL assholes.

I was doing a job in Hazleton, PA (about 2010-12) when a local judge was indicted for taking money from a private juvenile detention facility for helping keep their beds full. He was incarcerating children for very minor offenses to line his own pockets.
I believe he has since been convicted.
