Hours before the RNC kicked off on Monday night, Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s ex- lawyer and fixer tweeted that he had “a message” for his former boss. It appears he was referring to a series of anti-Trump ads that are set to be released as salvo as the Republican National Convention unwinds this week, depicting his ex-boss as a liar and a fraud.
For Trump’s minions, lying is a virtue…the same way that a guerrilla fighter uses everything at his/her disposal.
In fact, “lying to the enemy” comes up in every spy novel, TV show and film ever made.
That’s why Granny and Gramps, although belying the appearance of secret agents, cheer their own Agent of Destruction doing everything they wished they could do.
Mikey?
I hope he can peel off some remaining people (on the fringes of Trump World) still persuadable…because the entire Trump phenomenon would have gone nowhere had it not been for his minions…and I intersperse Trump voters and functionaries as both minions, in his Army
I could be wrong, I’ve been wrong before, but…I can’t help but hope that this guy is somehow redeemable, if nothing else, for his family and for his part in helping take trump* down. I don’t know why I feel this way, maybe the shared emotion of wanting revenge. Cautious to be sure, but can’t help but to cheer him on, at least for now.
He does have that quality, he can be likable. Like a little brother or something. Again…cautious, but maybe it’s those puppy dog eyes and New York accent.
It pays to remember all the horrible things he did in service to Trump. For most of us, no amount of money could induce us to do the kinds of things he did. Fundamentally flawed character.
I don’t trust him, but he does seem sincere. He admits to his own involvement and criminal actions which makes me want to believe he has good intentions.
That’s a valid point and I agree, he must have been a gnarly little pit bull working for trump* and some of those recorded phone calls where he talks some seriously threatening smack is most cringe worthy.
Trumpers will tune this stuff out, sorry. Cohen is preaching to the choir. Keep it simple. The best and only way to get to Trumpers is to show clips of Trump revealing his true character, like the one in which he makes fun of a handicapped person, and ask: “is this someone who’s worthy of being president?”
Yeah, but he’s not at the hitman who killed 47 people level. He was a pit bull attorney cleaning up trump’s messes. He reminds me of the kid in the Dinero film, A Bronx Tale.
