Fox News host Megyn Kelly talked to Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik yesterday, and repeatedly asked him whether he thought it was the appropriate time for him to be attacking the state of political rhetoric. “Is it the time really to be injecting speculative opinion like that into this case?” she asked.Dupnik’s been making the rounds, talking about the tense political climate that may have contributed to the mass shootings in Arizona over the weekend that targeted Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D). Talking about inflammatory rhetoric, Dupnik told Kelly: “I think it’s irresponsible for us not to address this kind of behavior and try to put a stop to it. There’s no doubt in my mind that there are consequences to this type of behavior.”
