Chris Wallace had absolutely NO control over anything. He was too chicken to tell the President to stfu. Chris Wallace needed to deal directly with the two candidates and if need be stop the debate until he could get control. Trump otoh is an out-of-control bully and assshole. He canāt shut up. The debate was painful to watch and I couldnāt watch most of it, but Iām very glad most people saw it the same way I did: a raving lunatic debating a reasonable human being.
I really wish commentators would stop referring to Trump as a bully. To Trump and his pathetic chest-thumping supporters, that is actually a compliment - ādamn right heās a big manly bully, pushing around those weaklings.ā

I was speechless after this debate. This lunatic is the head of our country.
The President of the United States clearly demonstrated his incompetence and mental unfitness to serve.

What a joke. Itās like these people are still sleepwalking and pretend that Trump hasnāt been a complete clownshow all along. What did they expect from him when this is how he treats reporters every day? Trump only buried himself and Biden stood his ground. If there are any swing voters, this would only have made them move to Biden.
I didnāt watch the debate because you miss the forest for all the trees watching these things in real time. I read TPMās stream, checked the reactions on Yahoo, then went to RedState to see what the wingnuts thought about it. Trump lost bigly. RedState was full of praise for Trump and how he destroyed Biden, but there wasnāt a single highlight that was actually good while Yahoo has lots of good Biden memes.
If Trump can talk for that long while providing such little meat to their cheerleaders, heās screwed. And the main consensus from the RedState writer and commenters was that Trump saved Biden by talking too much. Sad!

There arenāt enough meds, therapists and KFC buckets in the world to turn Trump into a normal, decent human being, and tonight, more Americans found that out than ever before, with the possible exception of the Lysol Presser. Biden could have been stronger, no oneās going to talk me out of that view, but he didnāt really need to be, because as bad as we thought Trump would be, it was far, far worse. The only things he could have done to make it even worse would be to punch someone or drop his pants and take a shit on the debate stage. And it felt at times like he was damn near doing both.
Heās all of those, but bully resonates best, I think. No one likes a bully but bullies.
Ultimately, the one thing most people are going to remember from tonightās debate is that Biden told Trump to shut up.
And thatās a win for Biden. It made Trump look weak and immature, like he was a spoiled child being scolded ā¦ which he was.
So, yeah, Biden is the winner of tonightās debate.
