I have a good friend who is a true-believing, open-minded member in good standing of the LDS church. He’s well aware just how much of an outlier he is.
How do you feel about Utah Dems backing Evan McMullen (I) rather than a Dem nominee against Lee?
Although the House voted in December to refer Meadows for criminal prosecution for contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the committee, the Justice Department has not pursued charges against the Trump White House official.
I suspect this is because as regards to Meadows, the DoJ has far bigger fish to fry. He has serious criminal exposure, in my view. Meadows was Trump’s point man, in contact with all the players - from rogues like Eastman and Clark to Senators like Lee to various members of the House - all looking to overturn the results of a legitimate election. All roads lead to Meadows, and then to Trump.
I expect DoJ to put significant pressure on Meadows to flip. If he doesn’t, and I’m not a lawyer, I expect he’ll face conspiracy charges at the least. He may also have exposure for that call to Raffensperger.
What we know now about his actions are probably just the tip of a rather large iceberg.
That’s okay. Mitt has influence, too. I’m sure the Dems and some indies agree with him.
I just keep wondering why did Meadows share materials in the first place? Who told him to stop sharing. And why wasn’t he told to keep mum in the fist place? As Trump’s CoS, even if it was in name only, he would have been first on list that the J6 committee would have wanted to talk to.
Better than a MAGA Trumper. The republicans have to get rid of them if they are to survive and become a functioning part of this government and actually accomplish good things for the American people.
ETA I doubt a dem could win a Senate seat in Utah.

Meadows is not a particularly smart man nor does he possess Trump’s animal cunning. A senior staffer at the very top of government who trips over his own feet trying to vote should worry about where this is going. The breadcrumbs he’s left are probably the size of extra-large baguettes.
Just a hunch, but a lot of these guys probably didn’t originally come from a place of abject criminality. If you get an oversight request, you comply (Meadows was a rep. before being CoS and was on the other side of those requests during the Obama administration.) In all likelihood, TDFG lost his shit when he found out Meadows had complied with the J6 request and demanded he stop doing so.
As a TFG adviser, her go-to move will be to tell Disney to file for bankruptcy.
Seems like some attention-grabbing by Ellis there. Like Disney of all corporations, doesn’t already have a fearsome pack of in-house lawyers?

I hope late summer is lit. But they’ve really, really got to get a move on. It’s apparent that Meadows and the other former higher-ups are doing everything they can to stall until after the mid-terms when they assume the Rs will regain control of the House and Senate and all investigations into anything Trump-related will die. And the bogus investigations into Dems will begin.
Am I being too conspiratorial in thinking Jenna’s doing this on behalf of Trump who sees De Santis as his main competitor?
Considering the quality of attorneys Disney has at their disposal, the challenge here is for them to say thanks but no thanks with a straight face. I don’t think I could manage.
