Meadows Was Kept Updated On Plot To Seize Voting Machines, Texts Show

When did the U.S. Army become a haven for nuts, degenerates and traitors? Don’t answer that…lock them ALL up!

Meadows was almost the perfect guy for the job. A true useful idiot… but, unfortunately for Trump, also a coward. I have zero doubt that he has already started spilling the beans.

Maybe they’re onto something: I can see some resemblance between Donnie and past holders of that title, like Caligula, in ancient Rome.

So are the Meadows still holding on to the trailer in SC?

OK Garland apologists have at it! Why is this not an indictable crime?

“Weak supplicant” was in the job description of anybody looking to join TFG’s staff treason syndicate.

Nice theory except for the fact that DOJ isn’t going to do anything about it.

Excellent.

One more reason not to eat those disgusting things.

Nothing a good lawyer can’t fix. We will soon learn that what he was doing was not really a crime and if it was he won’t be charged because it will be next to impossible to convict. In America as in pretty much elsewhere is very difficult to convict anyone of white-collar crimes.

Putin grants Russian citizenship to US whistleblower Edward Snowden

OT: Not so sure this is a wise move for Ed, what with Vlad’s manpower shortage in Ukraine.

I’m not sure to what degree Meadows would be guilty of conspiracy to defraud the US if he just heard about the plot and passed info along to Trump. Was he an active participant or an errand boy?

The plot to seize voting machines was never acted on, and there were a lot of wild ideas like this being passed around after Trump lost the election. There is probably more meat for an indictment in the fake electors scheme, which was actually put into motion.

Meadows’ Witsec code name is “muffin”.

It depends on what you mean by “fix.”

I’m fairly sure Mr. Terwilliger hammered something like “Repeat after me: I have no comment” and “now, when someone from the press comes towards you with a microphone, what are you going to say?” in one of their early meetings. Terwilliger came into this knowing that Meadows had provided materials to the J6 Commitee, and so it may be a damage control exercise - but probably still worth the hourly rate.

That said, Terwilliger brings a former insider’s expertise to the undertakings, like Trusty, but unlike Trusty so far, he’s demonstrated himself to be capable - the successful defense of Aaron “office-decor-like-Downton-Abbey” comes to mind.

ETA OTOH if by “fix” you meant paying off the judge, sure, here in Chicago there have been a few such incidents - but we were talking about “good” attorneys, right?

Hey, what’s your handle on Twitter?

IMHO the reason that DOJ didn’t charge Meadows for blowing off the J6C supeana is that he began to cooperate with DOJ, so DOJ knows what he knows.

Isn’t Snowden of draft age? I believe that’s anywhere between 18 and 58 in Russia.

In ancient Rome, emperors became gods after they died. Caligula, after losing his sanity following a severe illness, proclaimed himself as a living god.

That’s George Terwilliger III to you, Politico.

You’re welcome. I personally think somebody read too many of the ‘bad’ Dune books (God-Emperor of Dune was Paul transformed into a giant worm!) – which my husband reminded me were actually written by Herbert’s son.

Well, after all, he is a worm.
