Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who was removed from North Carolina’s voter rolls last week amid an investigation by state authorities into allegations of election fraud in the 2020 election, claims he is now a resident of South Carolina.
I don’t care if he ran for the border! Meadows must be lockhimupped! And North Carolina must also charge him with treason! Or else democracy crumbles! We haven’t had comments for days! I’M NOT YELLING I’M DISCUSSING!
I’ve harbored a particular distaste for this lying SOB ever since he claimed to be friends with Elijah Cummings in a feeble attempt to get support from blacks. He’s a slimebag!
Errr, you do realize how many Republicans we still have in this country, right? I mean, we don’t want to crowd them too close together, that would be cruel and unusual for them to have to communicate that much, wouldn’t it?..
Meadows is voter-at-large. And, yes, nice to have comments back. I had a total knee replacement a week ago and was looking forward to the diversion of TPM comments, but had to settle for Words With Friends, NYT crossword, and Jamie Raskin’s Unthinkable, which is a must read. Beautifully written and heartbreaking and brilliant. I read it in two days. Go buy it! Also, I started my V.S. Naipaul books, which I had been saving for a rainy day. So, time well spent.
From a trailer in NC in 2020 as WH Chief of Staff to a $1.5M mini-mansion in SC in 2021. Nice to see this fine man move on up from his poorer public servant days in the Trump Administration to the riches he has now rightfully, justifiable, and inevitably found.
If you’ve still got time to kill check out Pod Save America, which is a bunch of very smart Obama guys talking about politics for an hour and change. Great diversion if you have no pressing need to be anywhere.
seconded. You’re the one that got me hooked on this way back in 2020 and I’ve never looked back. Haven’t missed an episode of that or Pod Save the World, either. Insightful, informative, and funny.
I find it great to listen to with wireless headphones while I’m doing the dishes and stuff like that.
Speaking of Republcan scum, in a report in the Asheville Citizen Times, Madison Cawthorne is complaining about the impacts of the injuries he suffered in the car accident that put him in a wheelchair and he is also suing his “former” friend (and his insurance company) who was driving, for $34 million. He had already gotten a $3 million settlement. It sounds like he is making excuses for being a do-nothing in the House coming up to the primary and trying to set himself up financially if he loses in the primary.
