A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.
The Jan. 6 committee is moving to hold former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with its subpoena. But as we’ve pointed out before, Meadows has already cooperated to a limited extent, and the committee is now teasing some of what Meadows coughed up.
Look at every piece of evidence like it is a potential IED cobbled together by these desperate bastards. They are running on fear, greed, hate, anexiety and delusion … and a lot of stupidity.
They have made it abundantly clear that they do not respect the fundamental integrity of the judicial process & find truth & honesty to be highly inconvenient.
They really are the crap fascists. I don’t think Trump even knew that records would be kept of his logs and calls.
If they don’t end up driving him out of politics, if not into jail, after all this then we will know that America was bullshit and we’ll all have to start again from scratch.
Too much of the old world made it to the new. We need to drive out the snake handlers.
That’s the smile of a man who knows that he’s lying and thinks it’s ok to lie and that everyone does it. Also that of a man who denounces “takers” while likely being a massive cheat himself. Also amusing that he denounces Biden’s alleged socialism over his not doing something that’s inherently socialist, interfering in the free market. But of course for the sorts of people inclined to vote for someone this dishonest, loathsome and stupid, these are admirable features, not drawbacks.
For Repubs, stupidity, dishonesty and nastiness are features, not bugs.
Among the tantalizing bits of new evidence : Meadows sent an email on Jan. 5 stating that the National Guard would be present at the Capitol the next day to “protect pro-Trump people,” according to the committee.
The level of paranoid delusion needed on the part of the MAGA crowd to think they’re so at risk of physical harm from Antifa and other anti-Trump players they would need armed NatGuard troops to protect them is hilarious.
Anyone out there who is concerned that they have not heard much from the January 6 Committee will take heart from this comprehensive document, concerning, as it does, only one witness. The committee must have an astonishing amount of material and a number of talented personnel to produce such a report.
That’s the smile of a man who knows that the people he’s writing for all are all functionally innumerate and therefore can easily be convinced that 2 + 2 = 35 if you invoke Biden’s name.
