Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) believes Alan Dershowitz would be a good fit for President Trump’s legal team in his Senate impeachment trial.
“Wise men talk because they have something to say;fools, because they have to say something.”
Gee, in eight years, President Obama never had to hire a lawyer.
Please, please, let this happen. I need the comic relief.
And also. In response to GOP “no crimes committed.”
" Meadows Suggests Alan Dershowitz Should Join Trump’s Impeachment Team"
Add Perry Mason to,he might be available,Matlock may be chilling out so give him a call also.
Add Robert Shapiro. And what are Johnnie Cochran and F. Lee Bailey up to these days?
I would like to see this go the other way - someone should suggest to Trump that, with Rudy having to leave the team as a witness, if no a co-defendant, that employing lawyers is a sign of weakness and guilt. As the smartest man in America, as many people say, Trump should defend himself!
Dersh is the perfect fit - 45* wouldn’t even have to pay him because of all the blackmail evidence they have from Epstein’s tapes.
Isn’t Dershowitz too busy writing op-eds about how statutory rape is a-okay and totally protected by the constitution or something?
Most accomplished, well paid, capable lawyers know one thing:
Why not? He can join the rest of Epstein’s buddies in the administration.
Makes sense that Friends of Epstein would stick together. “Sloppy Seconds” is their mantra.
Derschowitz has lost his everloving fucking mind and, I’m sorry, but I really can’t help returning over and over again to the idea that he’s just in it for the blanket support of Israel and the green light Trump’s administration has given to the Zionist crap of settling and conquering the entire area and driving out the Palestinians. Someone chide me and tell me otherwise and make a good argument for an alternative, but it just seems to me like that’s a major driving force with his late-life batshittery.
Hiring Dershowitz would be awesome. The Democrats can make a show of all of the CRIMINALS that Dershowitz has defended.
May Dershowitz end up like F Lee Bailey… disbarred, bankrupt and living with a hairdresser above her hair salon in Maine:
Today, he lives with hairstylist Debbie Elliott, his girlfriend of seven years, and runs a consulting business above the salon in Yarmouth, Maine.
The consulting business is called Bailey & Elliott. The business website says services include advice on starting a new company and raising funds, evaluating corporate operations, and troubleshooting problems. Guidance on polygraph testing is also offered.
Bailey often offers advice to his clients while Elliott cuts their hair, according to the magazine article. “It’s very convenient,” he tells the Town & Country reporter during a lunchtime interview.
Wes Anderson has optioned a movie treatment of Bailey’s later career.
Bruce Willis is playing both Bailey and the hairdresser.
But who will Bill Murray play?
F. Lee’s been up in Maine causing trouble.
Johnnie is, sadly, no longer rhyming couplets with us.
I’m not sure exactly how the Senate trial is going to run, but if they’re moving for a quick acquittal, there’s no need for Dershowitz. And, more importantly (to him), if he doesn’t get a chance to grandstand, he won’t want to do it.
There’s no doubt Schiff would hand him his ass, like he did Turley during another impeachment proceeding.
