Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has apparently had a change of heart about the Jan. 6 committee, saying Thursday that “the public needs to know” its findings on the “horrendous event.”

Is this McConnell’s attempt to stem the non-college educated takeover of the GOP by letting the Dems deal with the noisy, unqualifed people Trump promoted into McConnell’s closed system of governance?

McConnell is doing some insider trading and getting out ahead of an upcoming news cycle. I wonder who’s feeding him info? Probably one of Cheney’s or Kinzinger’s aids who is hoping to move on up the ladder.

Could be the Mitch would like to stick a shiv into TFG (as long as it can’t be traced back to him) but it may be he has decided it’s better to sit on the fence given the increasing probability of criminal indictments or at least the news-turn to same.
It sounds like Mitch sees the Committee as a way to get rid of (or at least hamstring) some of the folks who are obstructing his control of the GOP. It’s no secret that the sees some of the MAGA extremists (including Trump himself?) as impediments.

Trump has been attacking him because of the spending ceiling BS. McConnel is just remaining the dotard that the only reason he completed a full term is because he saved his ass twice after the impeachments.
