McConnell Rants That Businesses Are ‘Bullying’ America By Criticizing GA GOP’s Voting Restrictions

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Monday railed against the backlash from top businesses over Georgia Republicans’ suppressive voting law in wake of the Major League Baseball (MLB) organization’s decision to pull its All-Star Game out of Atlanta.

Bull crap Mitch.
The legislature in Georgia criminalized giving water to someone waiting in line to vote …for God’s sake, Mitch… that pisses folks off. You Goobers want a repressive dictatorship like Myanmar if you could get away with it. Control of the vote so it’s always in your favor is NOT a free and fair election Mitch, it just isn’t. Georgia went for Biden and elected two democrats to the Senate and make you a minority leader. Tough shit Mitch. get over it and put on your big boy pants.

When is a business a mean, bullying business and when is one a blessed job creator?

Can someone draw me a flow chart please?

Says the man who shamelessly has taken dark money from corporations for as long as he has been allowed. Moscow Mitch sounds more and more desperate every day. Without his useful idiot in the White House, he’s got nothing.

I would love for someone to show McConnell what bullying really looks like. Preferably with a Louisville slugger applied repeatedly.

The GOP leader also threatened corporations with “serious consequences” if they “become a vehicle for far-left mobs to hijack our country from outside the constitutional order.”

“Businesses must not use economic blackmail to spread disinformation and push bad ideas that citizens reject at the ballot box,” he said.

Blackmail for me but not for thee…

They’re unlikely warriors against corporate influence, especially in defense of know-nothing populism. It’s also rich that they insist on a system where the people get to choose their elected representatives in “free and fair” elections ,but they’re doing it in a piece that rationalizes the lack of free and fair elections in Georgia.

So the National Review sounds just like every other Trumpist media organ, demanding that ultra-conservative culture warriors stand tough against scolding from big Georgia employers like Delta Air Lines and Coca-Cola that are unhappy with voter disenfranchisement.

It’s just like Dan Quayle said, eh Mitch? “A mind is a terrible thing to lose.”

What’s the matter, Mitch?

You finding out the consequence of treating businesses as citizens? Is it only supposed to work when they are voting for you to get a tax break?

If they’re citizens then they are your constituents and maybe you should listen to them about this.

“It’s jaw-dropping to see powerful American institutions not just permit themselves to be bullied, but join in the bullying themselves,” McConnell complained.

I guess this is the “bullying” aspect of the “cancel culture” thing.

How long before McConnell calls for Delta and MLB to be nationalized?

For this asshat to be finally nullified, the Dems will have to flip the Senate in 2022.

Edit: to clarify, of course I mean that in 2022 the Dems need to go beyond 50% elected, plus Kamala. Full control of the Senate.

“Corporations can’t lie to the American people (they’re not lying about this) … only Republicans can lie to the American people (they lie about everything).”

And, I guess restricting voting rights of millions of Americans does not in any way, shape, or form constitute bullying. However, standing up for voting rights is bullying in one of it’s most pernicious forms … it hurts Republicans.
