In his first remarks since the House voted to impeach President Trump Wednesday evening, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) plans to suggest House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is “too afraid” to send the articles to the Senate.
One of the talking heads pointed out yesterday that the impeachment doesn’t just go away with time. If it’s not sent to the Senate, it can be in the next Congress.
Caught Lawrence Tribe a few days ago and his thoughts on delaying giving the impeachment to the Senate, since some are flaunting they will not be “fair and balanced and honor their oaths of office”.Good move Madame speaker, you have already won this one.
LOL - yeah, cause we all know Trump’s just the kind of guy to take one for the team. Remember when he said he’d be the first to run into an active shooter situation? Christ…
For a long long time Democrats Achilles heal has been people saying mean things about them. Hopefully they’re getting over that. Hold the damn articles and fuck McConnell. Its an election year “stuff” shouldn’t happen in an election year, right Mitch?
Ms Pelosi, should respond that McConnell has a history with the House that includes key holing nearly every bill sent to the Senate. For Mitch to suggest the Dems were afraid of presenting their shoddy work, seems to be looking past the absence of work and denial of duty by the Senate at his direction. The main concern of the Dems is the purely partisan reasoning and warnings by those more concerned with the fate of a double dealing president than what that president is doing to the institutions of this nation. I hope they keep collecting evidence, and that they challenge the fakers and their fake news.
