Stern pretty much predicted that Trump’s decision to run was a bad one for Trump. I doubt Trump has really enjoyed himself a single day in office. He never seems to have any satisfaction ascending to the throne. Since the expectation is the wall of bricks will begin to fall on his head out of office, expecting Trump to succeed with a network is also a non-starter. All in all, Trump ruined his life. He just may not realize that completely as yet.

I’m learning that to be a feature, not a bug, as I observe them post-election. They want the white supremacy to continue building, the white grievance and anger and cultural resentment. They think it worked. And it did. And it will. And what they want to happen is for the rest of us to get so fucking sick of it that we act first, giving them their excuse to declare “it’s on…it’s finally on…halleluja lord alimighty the race war is finally here…” They are going to work harder than we have ever seen them work in the past to completely divide this country and bring it to violence in order to destroy Biden and because they think it will win them seats in 2022 and the WH in 2024. In their minds, Trump proved to them what the path forward to power is and they are going to follow it to a T.

Kentucky and South Carolina are two states I will not spend a fucking cent in for years to come. We have vacationed in the Outer Banks over the years, and NC has redeemed itself on occasion. Florida used to be an ok winter escape for us oldsters in the Mid Atlantic. Not looking so welcoming anymore. I am happy that we can add GA and AZ to winter destinations this year (NM also on the list). If only covid will let us travel.
