Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Tuesday said that he has not spoken with former President Trump since December 15, the day after McConnell finally accepted the reality that Joe Biden won the election when the Electoral College sealed Biden’s victory.
I wonder if he’ll ever feel a need to.

Nobody with any kind of power actually wants Trump back. It’s just that some of them can’t say it out loud. Watch what they do, not what they say.
At what point did McConnell really “accept the reality of a Biden win”? December 15, which was month later than reality, or January 6th, when the coup failed?
Why would he? No sane person would. Yertle is evil but he’s not insane.
But Trump has spoken to McConnell, vicariously, and by messaging to the Trump cult.
Twitter-less, Trump has slowed down a bit. But–in Trump’s mind–the potential is always there to “rile up the base” by every gimmick at his disposal.
McConnell–a reptile with no charisma–cannot do that…all he can do is scheme and calculate.
