McConnell Has Not Spoken With Trump Since Accepting Reality Of Biden’s Win | Talking Points Memo

I wonder if he’ll ever feel a need to.

Nobody with any kind of power actually wants Trump back. It’s just that some of them can’t say it out loud. Watch what they do, not what they say.

At what point did McConnell really “accept the reality of a Biden win”? December 15, which was month later than reality, or January 6th, when the coup failed?

Why would he? No sane person would. Yertle is evil but he’s not insane.

But Trump has spoken to McConnell, vicariously, and by messaging to the Trump cult.

Twitter-less, Trump has slowed down a bit. But–in Trump’s mind–the potential is always there to “rile up the base” by every gimmick at his disposal.

McConnell–a reptile with no charisma–cannot do that…all he can do is scheme and calculate.

And dodge answering questions.

Well he voted that the trial would be “unconstitutional” (spoiler: it ain’t) so he’d better get used to having to answer for every one of Dear Leader’s bleated utterances in the meantime.

“Mitch, 75,000,000 votes” - except it was 74. Or, if we must round up small fractional shares, then Biden won 82 million, not 81.

Used and tossed aside, like an old tampon.

How’s THAT feel, Donny?

And yet every mainstream media outlet will continue to interview Republican ‘regular folks’ as if their opinion were the only thing that existed among the populace.

Deplorebel…
