McConnell Excoriates Trump’s ‘Sweeping Conspiracy Theories’ After AZ Objection | Talking Points Memo

His “both sides” argument before this pissed me right the fuck off.

But where was he when this al should have been said after the election. There is nothing he knows know that he didn’t know by November 10 or so.

Reap the whirlwind, Mitch McConnell, you despicable reptile.

Appreciate the sentiment, but he is still a vile toad.

Senator McConnell, the stink of this attempted coup emanates directly from your decrepit corpse. You caused this. Fuck you.

As expected, the GA runoffs are over, the die is cast for the Senate, and Moscow Mitch has abandoned trump. Thus begins the Fat Fuck’s Final Fortnight (F**4). It should be a doozy

Rump asshats have stormed the Capital. They got through several barricades without police interference. They are now in the building and headed towards the Senate. Police are now stopping them.

This is a mess. I have no other words.

Weapons? Not sure but there’s this freak with a spear.

It is interesting to see McConnell have to step away from the monster he created.

But it should give us hope. I mean this is the guy who used evil and ignorance to gain power and riches for himself refusing to cross a line. But then the cynic in me says McConnell is doing this because under Biden he still has power whereas if he helps Trump overthrow democracy, he will be of no further value to Trump and his power as GOP senate leader will become irrelevant as that power is tied to a functioning democracy.

The Republicans created this. And now they are sheltering in place or being taken elsewhere. They do not have a single lever to pull to stop it. Trump is lighting the fire and sending his people at both the Democrats and the Republicans. And it will come down to the Democrats to clean this mess up while the Republicans hide in the bushes.

Gosh, Mitch, if only there had been someone to warn of the dangers of encouraging debased mobs through political demagoguery from taking the law into their own hands.

How’s it feel now to be on the receiving end of Trump’s wrath? Get used to it.

McConnell fears that the Electoral College “would cease to exist,” which he argued would lead to states having “no real say at all in choosing a President” as well as efforts that “would go even beyond the elections themselves.”

In other words, not letting the GOP steal any more elections? That’s a shame…

“If this election were overturned by mere allegations from the losing side, our democracy would enter a death spiral."

Thanks to your extraordinarily toxic leadership it already is, asshole.

Even a blind squirrel finds its way to the truth once in a blue moon. NO RESPECT for HIM.

Given the level of destruction he has personally done to our country, the only reason I assume he is speaking up is because he probably thinks these actions will hurt the gop in the long run.

He’s still a treasonous shithead. Just being joined by a lot more of the gop today.

Ain’t it amazing how even free-range chickens search for somewhere to roost when the darkness falls and the scent of slobbering foxes is in the air? I give McConnell no credit for this. He kicked and stomped our nation at the behest of Current Trespasser, and now he expresses outrage? Pardon me if I do not genuflect.
