Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) doesn’t care for his new nickname.
During a radio interview Tuesday on “The Hugh Hewitt Show,” McConnell said it was “unbelievable” for a “Cold Warrior like me” to be mocked as a Kremlin ally for repeatedly blocking both Democratic and bipartisan bills aimed at curbing Russian election interference.
Oh boy…that ‘nickname’ must have really HURT, Mitch. Why don’t you start doing your JOB and stop kowtowing to Donnie and Vlad and maybe people will stop teasing you? Just sayin’…
Remember when Moscow Mitch said that anything from Trump was “Over the top and indicative of the hard right’s awfulness”? Yeah, me neither. Fish will never discover water, either.
I got both a Moscow Mitch t-shirt and a coozy a couple of weeks ago at the state fair. The Democrats were selling them and KDP is going hard with this moniker. It’s probably one of the most devastating nicknames I’ve ever seen because it’s easy to remember and, let’s face it, it’s incredibly fitting. He knows it’s bad, he gets how awful this is for him, and that’s why this is like the fifth or sixth time he’s come out complaining about it. I don’t see how he escapes it or gets out from under it. His only hope is if McGrath wins the primary and he can run against her.
Looks like I need to send him a bunch of postcards addressed to Moscow Mitch. I love it that he doesn’t like it. I think that calls for a whole lot more of it.
And, denying Merrick Garland a confirmation hearing to become a Supreme Court Justice in the Senate was not “over the top?” And, allowing Trump to pack the other courts with right wingers was not “over the top?” McConnell’s now playing the victim is despicable.
“My friends at 55 Ulitsa Savushkina, St. Petersburg, are very upset that they have been slighted. My nickname shouldn’t be Moscow Mitch, it should be St. Pete Mitch.”
Before evaluating his claim, I would like him to answer some questions. I at work and don’t have time to list them all, but they begin with “Did Russian meddle in the 2016 elections” and “What have you done about it.”
