Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced his opposition to the January 6 commission bill Wednesday just hours before the House is scheduled to vote on it.
Maybe what we need is a mechanism by which we can remove treasonous and/or criminal Senators and House Members from Congress when it’s become obvious that they’re working to overthrow the government.
The Republican leadership is obviously horrified. They are horrified that members of their caucus could implicate each other and their prophet. The only way they will agree to any investigation is if everyone, everywhere looks filthy and criminal in the end.
Ummm… I’m gonna have to advocate for a “wait and see” on that. I mean, sure, there seems to be a pattern, but how can we really know if it’s going to continue?
I don’t thick Mitch or any of the GOP’es that stand in opposition to this investigation are actually opposed to it on principal. They’re opposed to what it may discover and the use of investigation as it should be used and not to head fake folks into believing there’s sin where there is not.
