President Donald Trump has started to mold his impeachment defense team, taking his cues from Senate Majority Mitch McConnell (R-KY) even when the two disagree.
A more solid part of the trial will be the inclusion of White House lawyer Pat Cipollone and Trump’s personal lawyer Jay Sekulow.

These are not the actions consistent with those of a Representative Democratic Republic. If Moscow McConnell gets away with this, there will be One Branch of Government, with two rubber-stamps of approval.
This new One Branch Government will have to be dealt with as what it will become:
A Full-Fledged Dictatorship, with henchmen like Barr and McConnell fulfilling roles with names (like Attorney General, United States Senator) which have little or no roles associated with those names

I fully expect McConnell to dismiss the charges and hold no trial.
It would stop them if those who are presently amusing themselves to death would actually start paying as much attention to politics as Trumpers, look at McConnell and what he is doing right now.
We the people have Moscow McConnell’s fate in our hands.
If the American People polled 75+% that they wish for a fair Trial, these traitors would be stopped.
