Nothing to see here. McConnell is just going through the motions and stalling for time. Notice that he’s saying nothing to actually endorse Trump’s claim that there were irregularities in the election.
Everyone knows where this is going, just not exactly which off-ramp option Trump will take. They’re coddling the toddler in the meantime because it’s the safest (i.e. most cowardly) option.
