Does this mean that the resident is officially not a part of the Republican establishment? If so, when will so many of them stop spouting/repeating BS about the current impeachment inquiry?
Georgia is going to be hard fought with two Senate seats in play. I wouldn’t be surprised if the right wingers there go hard at both of them…it would help the Democrats to have those Senators have to tack right to keep Trump supporters. Democrats really need to bring their A game candidates next year…with Trump on the ballot and people still annoyed over the governor’s election there’s a real chance to get turnout up and win the state. It’s going to be necessary to fight hard though, the Republicans will do everything they can to block voters.

Is Moscow Mitch trying to put some sunlight between his Senators and the Trumpansee? Seems a line has been drawn. Will be interesting to see how Trump reacts. He needs to keep the Senate on his side.

Collins would have an extremely hard time winning in 2020. (Or any statewide election in GA, tbh).
Loeffler has money, and financial backing. Those are going to be two things the GA GOP is going to need to hold on to the seat.
McConnell may be evil, but he isn’t stupid.

I see that he scheduled the official announcement of the appointment for the same time the House Judiciary Committee hearing starts tomorrow.
