House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) privately called on his Republican colleagues tamp down the interparty mudslinging that has ensued after 10 GOP House members voted to impeach former President Trump for “incitement of insurrection,” according to CNN on Wednesday.
“No more attacks to one another,” McCarthy said to Donald Trump.
But they are free to attack citizens.
There’s a lot of crap that McCarthy and most of his colleagues in the House need to cut out. But to do that they’re going to need an integrity transplant.

“Cut that crap out,” McCarthy told his members, according to CNN, citing two sources on the call.
Seems like somebody at TPM should be aware that it’s intraparty, not interparty …

There’s a lot of crap your caucus needs to cut out, Rep. McCarthy, but I have zero hope that they will do so. Attacking each other is the least of it.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), one of the [few Republicans] who voted to impeach Trump, indicated to the Washington Post in an interview published Wednesday that he’s prepared to lose his political career in light of feeling [“very isolated and very lonely”] in his party.
