House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) met with QAnon-promoting Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Tuesday night, finally relenting to growing pressure for GOP leadership to address the conspiracy-laden mess kicked up by the freshman lawmaker that has quickly spiraled out of control.

If McCarthy had any spine at all, it would have been a 5-minute meeting. He should have told Greene that if she didn’t quit the fucking nonsense, he would get the G.O.P. Reps to go along with a move to join the Democrats, and send her home. Permanently.

Skip the hearings. Garland is hardly an unknown quantity. Get it to the Senate floor by hook or by crook, and confirm him.
The irony is that being similar to Mr. Trump, I doubt that Rep Greene really wants to be on the committees anyway. Being an effective committee member requires focus and hard work, which I am sure are qualities she lacks. Being booted might give her even more street cred in the MAGA/QAnon world.

While we can discuss whether or not going all in for Donnie and Q was a wise idea, she wants to be a contender. I doubt she’ll turn her back on the seemingly easy path her rhetoric and offensiveness offer.
They don’t like the optics Greene represents, but it’s who they are at this point. McCarthy is also a right-wing radical - he just doesn’t believe in Jewish Space Lasers and QAnon. He’s happy to use people who believe in those things when it’s to his advantage (hence the weeks of inaction), but it’s not to his advantage right now. Fuck him.
Yes, they are terrified of Garland, not because he’s a petty man seeking vengeance for being fucked out of the SC, but because he’s a relentless badass hunter of white supremacists & domestic terrorists. Not to mention the leaders & networks that foster & incite them.
