McCarthy Finally Calls Out Greene After Days Of Backlash Over Holocaust Comments | Talking Points Memo

Four days after Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) kicked up another firestorm with her incendiary remarks comparing the House’s mask policy to the Holocaust, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) finally got around to condemning her remarks.

Kudos to Ben Shapiro for stretching “bothsiderism” to nearly its breaking point.

There’s no awful statement or behavior you can’t normalize if you’re motivated enough…

McCarthy isn’t a leader, he is a feckless, sycophantic follower. His nose is up Donnie’s derriere. The tail wags the dog.

How nice of him to sit up and take notice.

How I wish this woman and Boebert and others like them would take the GQP down in 2022. But they won’t. More of them will be elected or re-elected in gerrymandered districts next year and the slide will continue.

I don‘t know who is viler or more contemptible — MTG for her crudeness and viciousness, or McCarthy for his spineless sycophancy to FatAss…

Like clockwork…the cowardice of the GQP " leader" comes shining through like a beacon…as though he endeavors daily to be a shit stain on the American political landscape .

Actually, the truly ignorant thing Greene said is that Jews were forced to wear gold stars. No, they were forced to wear yellow Jewish stars. Nazi Germany was not an elementary school awards ceremony.

and why would that be Qevin?

How many hours before McCarthy issues a statement softening or backtracking on his criticism?

McCarthy’s style of leadership reminds me of a leaf caught in the back-blast of a 747 at takeoff power.

Emasculated and weak is no way to go through life as a minority leader, Qevin (corrected). Your days are numbered, you sniveling coward.

Convenient that Empty Greene didn’t mention that survivability has nothing to do with it being transmissible to people who may have compromised immune systems.

If this is like the Holocaust, then MTG is playing the part of Hitler.

Cops wear a badge, just like the jews in the holocaust!!!

It’s just such a overwhelmingly stupid analogy.

His arm must have gotten tired from holding his finger up to check which way the wind was blowing.

Great, he “called her out”. And? B.F.D.

Also, a gold star is a good thing in kindergarten. A gold star is a bad thing to mothers of servicemen. A YELLOW star was being marked for death for the Jews during the Holocaust. I despise her so much.

The feckless idiot has to bring up Nancy Pelosi in an attempt at both sides-ism.

He can’t just take a stand, can he? If only the people who voted for him could understand.

“The Holocaust is the greatest atrocity committed in history.
McCarthy’s statement is wrong, I’m sure that the Armenians, or the ancestors of the Indigenous people would like to take a meeting with you Qevin.

As for MTG’s comment about Jews being treated as second class citizens I beg to differ. Second class citizens are allowed to exist to do the work that the first class citizens see as beneath them. The Nazis looked at Jews as sub human. scapegoats, and not worthy to live. Except until such time as the Nazi leadership figured out that they needed slave labor to free up the good German to fight.
