I think it’s a safe bet that this is positioning to go after antifa, given they are the biggest existential threat to white nationalist snowflakes and the folks who stoke them.

It could just be CYA with the domestic terrorists, where you say it’s a big problem, but you need way more resources and are doing the best you can with the limited money congress has given you. Which of course segues to enough funding for a full police state in 2021 if trump wins, and only a few people are able to notice out loud that the domestic terrorists being arrested aren’t the ones everyone had expected.

- Chain migration with his in-laws from Slovenia (Race: White)
- Employed illegal workers in his Emoluments Clause violating business
- NOT investigated for #3
- Campaigned on demonizing Mexicans and said Mexicans will pay for his vanity wall
- Campaigned on Birther conspiracy theory
- To top it all, Trump is systematically & cruelly arresting illegal workers as well as American workers (later 300+ were released) as a deterrent for colored immigrants!
How F***** Up is that!

Now that we have seen evidence that Cover-Up General Barr is working for Trump instead of doing his job for the America people, maybe it is time for Congress to investigate those illegal employment practices at the emoluments violating business owned by the sitting POTUS!

Unfortunately, that sounds almost plausible. I have some friends who gave up early deer hunting due to the crowds, but if you have to wear armor to protect yourself from other hunters, time for a new hobby. (fluorescent orange goes a long way, and almost all reputable hunters will not shoot unless they can first confirm, Dick Cheney being a notable exception)

This may be nitpicking, but I was under the distant impression that common body armor was mostly protective against handguns, so that if you were hunting deer and got shot it wouldn’t do you much good? (And alas it’s not the reputable hunters you need to worry about)

That’s a very good point that likely will be ignored in the upcoming vitriolic damnation of Schumer. Yes, Dick Cheney was/is considered one of the reputable hunters.
You are correct that most of the lower type body armor only “protects” against low caliber handguns. It varies widely, but an assumed police standard is the 5-6 lb Type IIIa. One would have to employ Type III or IV armor to “protect” against hunter long guns.

The lone arrest came about halfway through the rally. Brandon Alan Howard, 33, who goes by “Brian Fife” on Facebook was arrested by EPD and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after he was witnessed harassing counter-protesters. EPD said in a press release that Howard was found to have a wrench taped to his arm.
Howard’s online presence indicates he is a Trump supporter, but he was dressed like Antifa during the rally. Sometimes also referred to as a “black-bloc,” Antifa typically dresses in all black and will cover their faces with scarves, hoods and sunglasses. After the event, rally organizer Andrew Allwander referenced Antifa violence, and claimed online that Antifa had tried to punch rally-goers, seemingly referring to Howard.
Allwander also claims Howard harassed rally-goers. Eugene Weekly , however,witnessed Howard mingling peaceably amongst the group, even partially removing his mask when talking to some of them. When EW asked about the conversation, rally-goers responded only that Howard was “undercover.”

If memory serves, the FBI would often go undercover to anti-Vietnam War rallies and stir up trouble, thus justifying a more aggressive approach to dealing with protestors, which, in turn, would play on the nightly news to Nixon’s mythical silent majority as “dealing with violent protestors”.

Let me help. One of the Bundys did some time in the lock up but as far as I know, all of the jamokes that took over the Oregon wildlife station walked away (except for the dead one). At the same time this was all going on, Native American protesters were being used for rubber bullet target practice. Welp.
