A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo. Sign up for the email version. It’s Going To Get Worse Before It Gets Better In seismic move Wednesday afternoon, Donald Trump announced the stunning decision to make the supremely unqualified, deeply compromised, and unfit Matt Gaetz his attorney general, placing…

“Trump’s pick of Gaetz presents the Senate GOP with a stark choice: either defy Trump or be humiliated into confirming the most atrocious pick for attorney general in the nation’s history.”

“We pick…humiliation!”

I think he’s put out feelers and talked to many people about Cabinet positions and other jobs. And he’s been met with less than enthusiastic responses. Probably a few people that even refused to meet with him, or take his calls. So, in a fit of pique he’s said to himself “Eff all of you. I’ll show you who’s boss. I’ll just nominate the Klown Kar and you can deal with it. You’re gonna regret not taking Sec Interior once you see the person I nominate!”

With Musk reportedly threatening to fund primaries on senators who don’t go along, these phuckers have all now reaped the whirlwind with their refusal to convict tsff at his impeachment. They likely secretly hoped dems would win the WH and they’d be done with him forever; now they’re all potential beta cucks for the mango menace.

I received thoughtful replies to a comment I made that the coming Trump administration would be a series of horrible developments. The gist of the replies is that we shouldn’t worry too much about a possible unpleasant future. However, the horrible developments of the coming Trump administration are not part of some potential future scenario, they are already happening. What evidence has Donald Trump ever given us to expect anything other than the absolute worst from him?

One thing that I haven’t seen noted: Trump is holding his inner circle close, as White House advisors rather than as appointments subject to Senate confirmation. So we won’t get to see a Senate confirmation hearing for Steven Miller, for example.

It’s unclear to me that we’ll see confirmation hearings for Elon Musk(rat) or Da Vek, because the Department of Government Efficiency isn’t a thing, and Congress has to approve new Cabinet departments.

I really, really hope you are wrong. If Donald Trump has any saving grace, it is that he really doesn’t seem interested in starting any new wars.

Never forget that Tulsi Gabbard is the political pawn of her Krishna cult Guru-Dev Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa, a/k/a Chris Butler, who is using her to court influence in Washington D.C. and India, in large part by taking the Shia side in the Islamic regional civil war, apparently because most of the Muslim minorities Modi fascistically hates on are Sunnis. And also Putin is friends with Modi and Shia-adjacent Assad.

I know, it’s a bit complicated, but really it all comes down to she’s a Krishna cult member whose leader is trying to take over the world by first taking Hindu India.

A son-in-law was a law school classmate of Gaetz back in the day. The SO’s residence until recently was in his district.

This is beyond disbelief.

David Kurtz is absolutely correct. It’s another example of Trump’s intentional use of chaos - shock and awe theory - to disrupt the system.

Everyone can find solace in the fact the nation’s founding principles and laws are designed to create a system of checks and balances between the three branches.
  :joy:

Asked this in a previous thread. Matty boy has resigned from this Congress, apparently an attempt to.stop the release of his naughty boy report.
Has he also resigned from the Congress that begins on January 3?
