Doug Mastriano, the Pennsylvania state senator who’s a leading contender for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, ended an interview Wednesday after being asked about his promotion of the Big Lie and attendance at the Jan. 6 rally that preceded the Capitol attack.
Don’t you just love how all these cosplaying tough guys who imagine themselves storming the beaches of Normandy single-handedly, all crumble and run from questions. Maybe if we just kick them in the balls they’ll run and hide behind mommy.
Let’s hope this bozo wins the nomination. He sure won’t be able to handle a debate.
Did Trump back him yet, or is it only Mehmet Oz Trump is backing in PA so far?
Speaking of Mehmet Oz, a Trumper buddy of mine in PA says Oz won’t cut it because people don’t want these Hollywood types, implying that Oz is really a closet liberal.
Regarding calling him Mehmet Oz, instead of Dr. Oz, it’s interesting to note that Oprah calls him “Mehmet Oz,” without the “Dr.”
But I sort of like “Turkish Memet Oz,” because he is keeping his Turkish citizenship and will only renounce that if and when he wins. Brave soul, standing on principle as a true American. Yeah, right.
I don’t think his right to go to the January 6 insurrection is being questioned. As long as he wasn’t part of the crowd that stormed the capital he had every right to be in Washington and to protest Biden’s victory. But he shouldn’t be surprised when people ask him about his attendance, his support of QAnon or any other of his public activities.
What is it with Republicans and their fear of people talking about their public appearances. Shouldn’t they be proud of whatever they do to show support for the issues they think are important.
I guess it is tough to be a MAGA Republican for whom lying and deflecting is a way of life.
All nine contenders to become the Republican candidate for governor are bozos.
Luckily our current AG Josh Shapiro has already raised more money then all of them combined.
Unlike the GOP hopefuls who are depleting their campaign accounts fighting for supremacy in a crowded field, Shapiro does not have a Democratic challenger. That has given the current attorney general the chance to avoid a frenzied spring of politicking and instead focus on wooing traditional — and a few unexpected — donors ahead of a fall race that could break campaign spending records in the state.
That lack of opponents has also allowed him to avoid spending much of the money he’s raised, campaign records show, leaving him with a cash balance of just over $16 million at the start of April. In contrast, the GOP candidates began the month with far less money on hand. Former U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain had the most available, with $1.7 million in his campaign account.
