Massive Unemployment Just One ‘Great Part Of American Capitalism’ Kudlow Insists | Talking Points Memo

White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow is likely aware that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to millions of Americans losing their jobs, including nearly 900,000 new unemployment claims just last week. But that massive surge in joblessness, he said Friday, is just part of what makes American capitalism great!

You do know this is meaningless, right Larry? There is no such thing as “creative destruction.” It’s a contradiction in terms and words do mean things - they don’t just sound good. I’m sure you thought this sounded brilliant but it doesn’t say anything other than that you are a fucking idiot.

I’m ready to sign a big beautiful stimulus,” he told NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie

Are Senate Republicans with you?” Guthrie asked.

They’ll go,” Trump responded.

“So far, they have not said they would,” Guthrie pressed.

“Because I haven’t asked them to, because I can’t get through Nancy Pelosi,” Trump said.

It will be a Big Beautiful Day for American Capitalism when Larry Kudlow is pounding the streets looking for a job.

That these two fucks are still drawing breath brings into focus the proof that there is no god
With noble and honest people dying every day , There should have been a smite to take care of them long ago

Kudlow:

that’s the great part of American capitalism: Gales of creative destruction!

That’s one great part.

Freebasing cocaine is the other.

Yeah, if he wants a “big, beautiful stimulus,” he should be supporting Nancy Pelosi’s bill, not blaming her. It’s McConnell who is opposed to any stimulus. Somehow, we need to get the message to him that it’s McConnell who is sabotaging his reelection.

I gotta boogie, but he already told a conservative interviewer that Mnuchin should ‘go big’, yet…

The Speaker has not pressed this point?

Mayhap she has, but he’s immune to hearing it from her. We need a vector that can actually penetrate his bubble.

Kind of ironically, but apropos, I believe the Hoover administration floated a similar trope when they were talking about the collapse of the American economy at the start of the Great Depression. (Ed.)

So like “Make America Great Again” (Reagan) and “Law and Order President” (Nixon), he doesn’t even have an original idea.

“The talk is that a lot of folks became unemployed, most regrettably, but they’re sticking with it and they’re going out and starting new businesses,” Kudlow told Fox Business Network host Stuart Varney.

“They’re going to be small businesses, but that’s the great part of American capitalism: Gales of creative destruction!”

Warning: The spewings of nonsense from a never-ending Idiot Wind are soon to be dissipated and finally removed by a Blue Derecho, the likes of which have not been seen in nearly 60 years. Make certain that you are wearing the appropriate PPE to protect against the disintegrating bullshit currently constantly flushed from the current maladministration. What is the color of the Idiot Wind? Well, what is the color of bullshit?

OK sure whatever, Larry. Everything that happens is perfect and great. It’s like when Trump tells hurricane victims to “have a good time,” as if they were casino patrons. Carry on you’re doing great. Would I lie?

Which is a perfect segue to this:

Really something, eh? There’s a whole trash-barge load of empathy and sincerity there.
