Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler released a statement on his Facebook page Thursday afternoon addressing a story published in the Baltimore Sun Wednesday revealing that he was photographed at a “party of teenagers” at a beach house in Delaware in June. Gansler, who is running for governor as a Democrat, initially defended his actions by saying he stopped briefly at the party to speak to his teenage son who was participating in the “beach week” event and that he does not have “any moral authority over other people’s children at beach week in another state.” In the statement posted on his Facebook, Gansler conceded he could have handled the situation differently.
