I’m sure it’s a good read, however, after putting up with the most dishonest, lying, criminal, uncaring, self-centered narcissist as head of this country for what seems a decade now, why do I need more information about him? So I can be more sympathetic towards his rough childhood? Not going to happen. My brain is overloaded with all the negativity this monster has brought upon us and I only hope one day I can forget everything I’ve come to know about the POS.
What I need are some comedies anything to escape what has/is/will continue till he’s gone.

And that is exactly how I see talking heads on all of the cable networks. This is one place where bothsiderism is absolutely relevant.

He simply cannot give any woman credit for being smart or capable. If they aren’t sex objects they are sans value or ability. I would have liked to see HRC turn around and confront him when he creeped her during the debate. One step toward him and he would have retreated.

At that point, he also thought that he was never going to win - he never wanted to. He just wanted a new launch point for his foray into a media project. So, his performance vis a vis Hillary was just that, performance.
Against Biden, he’s got a record to defend and 3 more years of mental decline to overcome. I’d be amazed if he didn’t find a way to wriggle out of the debates.

Hopefully the 46% of the voters who sat out 2016 (and who were found to be more pro-Democratic) will be influenced enough to come forward and vote.

Right. Lots of people on this page want Trump NOT to resign so as to be thoroughly defeated and discredited along with the rest of the GOP. That’s a partisan viewpoint, but an understandable one and possibly a correct one. No argument from me.
But newspaper boards are supposed to be nonpartisan, and supposedly acting in the public interest. Yet these purveyors of disinterested high-mindedness cannot bring themselves to say that Trump is a public menace and needs to leave.
It’s just like their news articles, which always prominently include Trump’s spin, even when he’s obviously lying. Why? Can’t the boards simply decide not to print these lies, in the same way they wouldn’t reprint verbatim obvious slander? Doesn’t the fact that Trump controls a vast government propaganda operation plus all the resources of the conservative media-entertainment complex mean that he’s already gotten his message out, and the mainstream media aren’t obliged to repeat it?

Not saying that, just want recognition that some of them enslaved people and treated them like subhumans while, like Jefferson, saying all men are created equal. In the same way we have to discard the Gone With the Wind visions of happy slaves loving their masters.

The parents are professors at local NYC colleges. Husband American, Wife is French, Kids bi-national. They flew to paris about a month ago. Reason I asked is I am damned jealous cuz I wanna go!! Ya know? To spend a couple weeks in a land with a reasonably competent government…
