Former Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC), who essentially lost his seat because President Donald Trump urged voters to give him the boot, is now considering the ultimate retribution: a primary challenge.

One can only take note that his reasons for considering running lack “a return to moral leadership.”

This is why Lindsey has gone full cuck for DJT.

Lots of former high profile SC politicos itching to get back into things. Don’t count Haley our for Senate run either.

Sanford would be a disaster as POTUS, but his tipping DJT’s crown off his head a little might be worth seeing.

Right, because the GOP doesn’t have enough adulterers running for the highest office.

LOL!! Voters will have to ponder: Who is the least adulterous!

Mark Sanford is an odd duck - but lets put that to the side

Mark Sanford seems to periodically feel compelled to allow his conscience to get in a few words - which, of course puts him at odds with the Orthodox Trumpians
… but one cannot build a presidential campaign on that .

It doesn’t really inspire confidence in me as a voter when the best thing you can come up with is, “At least I’m not Trump.”

Exactly - he’s not a tall barn & there ain’t much hay in the loft…

Sanford is hoping to drive a wedge between the blue collar Appalachian Trail hikers and the silver spoon Merde-a-Lardo high rollers in the GOP.

What the rest of you have said: As represented here, Sanford isn’t going to say anything that the GOP hasn’t campaigned on for decades now; and as for presenting himself as some sort of moral bulwark against Trump–which is what a GOP challenger really needs to do–well, the mirrors in Sanford’s house must not be working very well.

Oy. They’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel here, aren’t they? If that’s the best the never-tRumpers have, they aren’t being serious. Sanford should run against Graham Cracker. He’d probably have a better run at it. Btw, I sure hope Dems put up a good candidate against Lindsay.
