Marjorie Taylor Greene Gives the (Unofficial) GOP Response - TPM – Talking Points Memo

Speaker Kevin McCarthy told his members to be on their best behavior at the 2023 State of the Union address. But Republican House members didn’t follow his lead any more than they did during the fifteen votes it took him to become Speaker in early January. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was a stand-out, repeatedly heckling the President, hooting and hollering and thumbs-downing him with abandon. One Twitter commentator said she looked like a “mob wife”, others compared her performance to iconic moments from Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives’ franchise.

Authored by “TPM Staff”. No one wanted to put their Alan Smithee on this one?

In the old days such people were called jerks.

Good reference because any Real House Husbands of DC, even a pilot episode, seems off the table.

On the other hand, Kevin McCarthy’s wife Judy is interested in Washington-based presidential assassination sites. Might be a bit dark for advertisers.

Judy has also worked as a trustee of the Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., and apparently has a passion for preserving the legacy of President Abraham Lincoln, who was assassinated there.

This is why dress code matters. You get members of Congress looking like the hunger games on the floor.

I thought she was trying for a cruella de vil look.

Green loves being a halfwitted screeching harpy; any old raving shit could pour out of her mouth at any moment. Great fun for her. Essential to that are having no self-awareness and no self-respect. She fits right in as a Republican.

Like my grandmother used to say…" you aint saying noting but about yourself"… That feral behavior of Greene’s says nothing about Biden. It’s just her on display. Who liked it? Other than American low brows, Putin, Xi, the Ayatollah and Kim I imagine.

Here we are.

Too much coverage of MTG.
Other than saying she made an ass out of herself nothing else should have been said or shown.

This was the moment MTG was waiting for, the spotlight which solidifies her GOP leadership position. Imagine what her list of demands will be.

The lack of decorum is shocking. I’m not clutching my pearls, but these are members of Congress. Show some respect for your office and that of the President of the United States.

It never gets old seeing Marjorie Taylor Greene make a fool out of herself and the rest of the Republican Party - especially when it’s done on national TV. You couldn’t write it any better as an SNL sketch.

She’s dressed like a damn pimp. Pimping for Matt?

MTG behaving as expected…

Shock collars are relatively inexpensive, and might have helped curb Marge. Unfortunately, she probably would have enjoyed it.

Actually, I thought it was a nice looking coat. Too bad it’s spoiled by being worn by Spork Foot.

It was James O’Keefe from “Project Veritas” that rocked out the pimp look in the chinchilla jacket.

And Qevin shushing the Goopers was not a good look either.
