Seems like he got a massive recovery bill through, has done a ton of work on the EO side of the house.
For the rest, he’s waiting on Congress to do its fucking job and deliver him bills he can sign. Blaming him for Manchin and Sinema holding up the works is disingenuous at best. Congress is a co-equal branch, they’re responsible for their members and for passing bills.
If the guy who gives children drugs and then rapes them is still there, does anyone think this will lead to anything? Does anyone believe that until she is voted out, anything she does will lead to her removal? The so called political party she belongs to will never see her leave. Even if she loses an election she won’t accept the results.
Yes, it’s a game and Biden is playing it. At least half of his voters are not happy. The fact that you are ok with same old, same old - actually means nothing. Especially when you ignore facts pretty much as well as the right. When you say adult, you mean old white and they (and us) will be dead soon and the voters who count (approx. 4 million more each voting cycle) will be out there and they are not happy with things as they have always been. You try to make this personal when it’s bigger than you seem to know and frankly, care to know. The Biden cult is no better at rational thinking than the trump cult.
Without meaning to you have just made the point about why Biden is not right - he’s what we have but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to push him in the right direction and it definitely does not mean we are supposed to worship him.
Says it all, really. BernieBros are so fixated on getting handouts that they never actually stop to figure out where the money trees are to harvest from.
Then when they don’t immediately get their way, they throw temper tantrums, just like the MAGA do.
Bernie only got a quarter of Democratic voters, that’s not exactly a majority of anything, let alone something that indicates that BernieBro positions are so overwhelmingly popular that everyone wants to see them happen, and today.
Old white men are now in the minority, and they are not dealing with it well obviously. Once you get down on your knees it gets harder and harder to get back up.
Yay! I’m gonna enjoy watching them have all their vaunted rights stripped away when they help deliver Trump back to the WH in their second betrayal of the country.
Most of us average folks plodding away have little too lose regardless of who is in charge, so if the BernieBros want to commit collective suicide, go for it. I’ll keep the popcorn on.
is unlikely to include his campaign plans for student debt cancellation in the proposed White House budget, as the administration remains focused on other priorities already outlined in his $4 trillion domestic agenda.
The exclusion is among several other campaign pledges jettisoned from his first budget outline, including a public option for health coverage and a plan to cut prescription drug costs, according to The Washington Post. The full 2022 budget proposal is due on 27 May.
In an interview with David Brooks of The New York Times , the president also appeared to dismiss progressive demands to cancel student loan debt, pointing to federal loan borrowers at high-cost private universities, which make up less than 1 per cent of federal borrowers.
He said: “The idea that you go to Penn and you’re paying a total of 70,000 bucks a year and the public should pay for that? I don’t agree.”
The president pledged to cancel up to $10,000 in federal loan debt before he entered the White House, adding that it “should be done immediately” upon taking office. Meanwhile, a large group of congressional Democrats including progressive leadership and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have pushed for canceling up to $50,000 in debt per borrower.
Psaki said the decrease in proposed spending on broadband would be “to match the Republican offer.”
House Democrats sent a letter to Democratic leadership urging them to go even bigger on infrastructure funding.
They said that Biden should see past GOP negotiations and pass an urgently needed bill.
Biden has remained committed to bipartisanship and plans to negotiate on another GOP counter-offer.
We didn’t get the Senate seats that were projected
We lost House seats
If the dems don’t figure out what they are doing wrong, we are screwed in the midterms.
Rome wasn’t built in a day. Biden’s not going to abandon allies overnight, not when there still at terrorists on the other side. He did demand, and got, a ceasefire, you may recall.
And regarding student loan debt, people asking for free money can go fuck themselves. Nobody put a gun to their head and made them take out student loans. They chose it so that they could make more money. If they fucked up along the way, too bad. We can reform the shit out of the student loan industry, I’m cool with that, but handouts are unacceptable.
And a lot of folks feel the same way. Note that Congress ain’t passed a bill, that’s because they don’t have the votes, because it’s not what their constituents want.
I’m done arguing with sundowners. You are no longer a majority, your opinion counts less every year and soon will be completely meaningless. And I was never on your lawn.
Yeah, like BernieBros will ever be the majority of anything. At least MAGA was successful one time in getting in charge of something. An achievement far beyond the capabilities of the BernieBros.
Do you copy/paste your Bernie rants or retype them each time? Anyway it’s no longer amusing to take you off subject and onto Bernie. You’ll never understand that Sanders supporters are already the majority and have been for over a year. Denial - river, etc.
You and Biden can ride off into the sunset together - both too old to change.
Of course that was after Sanders told his supporters to vote for Biden.
Biden’s inner circle is largely white,The New York Times’ Shane Goldmacher noted. “While some black advisers have cracked Mr. Biden’s upper echelon and his team is racing to expand, the people setting strategy still skew heavily white, with limited Latino and even less Asian-American representation,” Shane wrote. “But the fear, even among allies, is that a lack of diverse viewpoints in Mr. Biden’s brain trust could come with a long-term cost: a misinterpretation that boiling anger at Mr. Trump among black and Latino voters equates to excitement for Mr. Biden; insufficient outreach to minority groups; and — perhaps most worrisome of all — the possibility that Mr. Biden’s team would take for granted that his strength with black voters in the primaries would repeat itself in November."
What Biden can’t win without is the votes of Latinos, Blacks, Youth, Progressives, Sander’s supporters, anti-war, anti corporate, anti oil/gas, environmentalists, students, etc.
If Biden can’t show us he’s not a relic or a corporate tool then we lost our only chance to put someone in the White House who isn’t afraid to do what needs to be done.
His refusal to take a stance on Israel makes him look weak to the rest of the world, and they really don’t read our polls that say he is popular and base their opinion on those polls. First we elect some demented old white man, then we elect another old white man who lives in the past. Scary.
