Former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch issued a grim warning on Wednesday night in her first public appearance since her blockbuster hearing in the House’s impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump.
Well the things Trump joked about in 2015/16 we were appalled, then we mocked him, and now we fear what he has wrought.
OT, but goddamn, it never fricking ends. It’s like drinking from a firehose.
Well, I guess now Yovanovitch will have to go through those things Trump eluded to. No one to blame but herself, had to go and open her big mouth. She asked for it. Practically begged actually.

I have looked at Trump’s Daily Approval Rating and just recently I discovered that Nate’s Composite poll had him at 43.5%…down from 43.9% a couple of days ago…and let me tell you what I felt:
HOPEFUL.
I go by my feelings very often…and I try to stay in touch with them. (like “How does this strike me”)
And I know that polls can be inaccurate
And I know that people can monkey with polls
And Trump has had a popularity which makes no sense to Rational People
But the Hopeful Feeling (especially after both Rachel and Lawrence sounded the Alarm this evening–which, to be honest, is what we need) was palpable.
IF Trump goes down to low 30’s in Daily Approval, he will notice.
And the first thing HE will say is:
“The Polls Are Rigged”…and that will concern him."]
Pompeo doesn’t lack moral clarity. He lacks morals, so clarity never comes into the picture.
Of course we’re on the edge of fascism on the national level. And each and every single Republican in Congress is an enabler. Every single one of them has sold this country out to a Narcissistic Dictator. They violated their oath of office in every way conceivable.
I guess now we vote, or we have to hope that there is a Cassius and Brutus in Trump’s inner circle.

Few if any of the political folk in trumpland had moral clarity to begin with. Consider: the Senate was going to absolve trump no matter what he had done. Up to and including treason. Getting two foreign powers (Russia and Ukraine) mixed up in our elections is bad enough by itself.
Trump will keep a death grip on his office because of the legal immunity and power if offers. He will do ANYTHING to stay in office. He could easily destroy America.
