2020 Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson insisted on Tuesday that she isn’t a cult leader, nor does she oppose vaccines. After all, she quotes Albert Einstein a lot!
Not much needed here. Sometimes they marginalize themselves.

I’m sorry Marianne, this is still a completely disqualifying statement. You don’t get to have it both ways on this issue, Vaccines are not in doubt or subject to skepticism, nor are they optional. Time to go find something else that you might or might not be marginally qualified for…the prez gig is not it.
“I am not an anti-vaxxer cult leader, OK?!”, cried Williamson, backed by a throng of measles-infected acolytes.

Treatment consisted of “Hey, cheer up. Things aren’t that bad.”
Of course none of the other candidates past or present are cult leaders.
I don’t want to sound like a horrible and vindictive person by saying that Marianne Williamson is out of her fucking mind but Marianne Williamson is out of her fucking mind.

She later tweeted that “many vaccines are important” but “I also understand some of the skepticism that abounds today about drugs which are rushed to marked by Big Pharma.”
First of all, the tweet correctly says “rushed to market”; the typo is in the TPM article, not the original. (Josh: Hire a copy editor, dammit.)
Second, we have a vast array of testing and certification that has to happen before drugs are “rushed to market”. Well, we do until the anti-regulators manage to hound the last real scientist out of the FDA, any day now.
