The bottom line is people are going to have to make a decision (about impeachment),” Manchin said.

Manchin said that he declined to make a decision about whether he would vote to convict Trump in a Senate trial until after the House takes action.

Professional prognostication: Manchin, in order to appease his speed-balling (meth + Oxycontin) “constitiants,” will vote no on impeachment.

Come on, people. We’ve got to reward small successes, small steps toward fully engaging with the Democratic caucus.

Actually, I think what he said is fine (coming from Manchin) and fine for the good guys.

Unless enough Republicans give him cover by voting to convict/remove. And Romney and Collins aren’t enough.

Making self-evident statements is not leading, it is following.

Nice to hear, but basically stating the obvious. Now, let’s hear some GOPers say it.

Manchin is a good barometer for how the less crazy GOPers will react, so his disgust with Trump GOP attacks on Vindman is useful.

I’m solidly pro-Manchin. Just saying. Obviously disagree with him on pretty much everything. But he’s in the D column. The good news is that the implosion of the GOP will stop any thoughts he might have about jumping ship.

Wise words from Sen. Joe Man-chin (D-crypto-R)

You mean Machin represents the Republican wing of the Democratic party?

Aw, put a sock in it, Joe Dino.

Joe, your state leads the country in opioid deaths, and infections with viral hepatitis, STIs, and STDs. Why don’t you start caucusing with your party on policies to help these poor souls? And, guess what, coal ain’t coming back.

I agree. If Republicans have lost Manchin, they’ve probably lost a significant portion of voters in West Virginia. As a Democrat in a red state, I’m sure Manchin watches poll numbers back home like a hawk.

Yes.

IMHO, in the era of Dotard, ANY Democrat is far better than ANY Party of Putin member, the occasional horrific vote notwithstanding.

Vindman represents an obstacle in the way of the preservation of Trump - so ANYTHING that will discredit Vindman is acceptable to the GOP - ANYTHING!
Lies, Distortions, fabrications - ANYTHING
