Professional prognostication: Manchin, in order to appease his speed-balling (meth + Oxycontin) “constitiants,” will vote no on impeachment.
Come on, people. We’ve got to reward small successes, small steps toward fully engaging with the Democratic caucus.
Actually, I think what he said is fine (coming from Manchin) and fine for the good guys.

Manchin is a good barometer for how the less crazy GOPers will react, so his disgust with Trump GOP attacks on Vindman is useful.
I’m solidly pro-Manchin. Just saying. Obviously disagree with him on pretty much everything. But he’s in the D column. The good news is that the implosion of the GOP will stop any thoughts he might have about jumping ship.

I agree. If Republicans have lost Manchin, they’ve probably lost a significant portion of voters in West Virginia. As a Democrat in a red state, I’m sure Manchin watches poll numbers back home like a hawk.
