Justice was a R, who flipped to a D in '16 and back to a R in '17.
Obama is “the one” that was, Biden is the one that is, Harris is the one that will be.
H/T “Babylon 5”
I like it.
Actually I love it.
It’s bullshit from start to finish.
Not that I expect a bunch of weasel words from his lawyers.
It’s a pretty weak answer I must say.
That’s nice Joe…because you LOOKED like a bit of a prick. But no apologies…
“If so why?”
Circus first. Bread second.
Reversal Clue: Harris, out back of the Senate Chambers, with a rolled-up newspaper.
Of course.
That is consistent with Joe’s mojo, public persona and political experience.
hahahahahahahahaha the rolled up newspaper cracked up my shit.
Someone tell the hysterical Chris Cilizza about this. As usual he went off the deep end in yesterday’s CNN piece.
Once you get past their rhetoric, I can’t see that there’s a lot for them to work with.
Then, IANAL, so mayhaps I’m missing something; although, I doubt it.
I also approve because they didn’t demean him…or try to score points.
Nah, he is book one of the trilogy, not “The Hobbit”.
I figure part three will be Harris/Porter. (Sorry, I am always impressed at how steady and together Porter can be. )
The poor media. They are DESPERATE for conflict since FatAss is gone. Sad. Next week should be fun. The Republicans lose either way.
There isn’t much - you’re right.
The guy who walked off with Pelosi’s dais got lawyers appointed and they made a statement right after they were appointed in which they admitted they had very little to go on to defend the guy since there was video of his doing what he was charged with. As they said: We’re not magicians.
Same here.
Yep and they gave Sen Joe a face-saving out:
“It was a mistake. They made a mistake,” he added.
Pres. Joe won’t respond to that. Sen. Joe is onboard and Pres. Joe gave him an out from the dustup.
What the Ds have going for them with Manchin is that he is fundamentally an honest guy. He also doesn’t seem to have much of a personal agenda beyond maintaining his centrist-toward-conservative Democrat reputation.
I suspect he was probably more offended that those 10 Rs would propose such a tiny alternative to Biden’s proposal which was clearly offered in bad faith. Manchin is not stupid or naive and has seen first hand how the Rs in the Senate play the game. And, despite how well Trump does in WV, rank and file voters still respect Manchin and knows he’s looking out for them.
If those Rs had offered a 1.4 trillion package and settled at about 1.6 trillion with some tweaking, we might be in a different position as Manchin would accept that to have things look bi-partisan. But those same Rs didn’t bad an eye at a 2 trillion tax cut to people and corps that didn’t need it, so they can’t claim some kind of fiscal concern when regular people do need it.
When was the last time that Joe Manchin voted decisively against his own party?
