You had me until we got to the extra high capacity clip taped to the weapon you brandished. /s

Oh, and that if you were truly scared, that you could have firing a warning shot in the air, not into a peaceful protestor.

In Florida, yes. In Seattle, no.

Um… that’s not going to work.

When he realized that he might harm people by swinging the car in another direction, he told police that he punched Fernandez in the face instead. Fernandez shot him soon after.

Good grief.

Can Hell be worse than this mess we’ve made for ourselves?

so he ran out to the police line where he surrendered himself …

… and would be treated with kid gloves, could have a few smokes and, later, be gently ushered into the back of a patrol car while officers apologize, saying ā€œSorry, but we have to arrest you because everybody saw what you did. You understand, don’t you?ā€

Fernandez must not have been paying attention to what happened to James Alex Fields when he used the same excuse.

Right. You drove into a huge crowd of people (after 8 days of protests that EVERYONE knew about), they swarmed your car so you leaped out and started shooting. Yeah. Sorry Charlie…not buying your ā€˜defense’. My son was up there you POS.

He’s already using the car as a weapon. And he just happens to have with him a pistol prepared for high-capacity shooting. So that complicates the idea he’s just a hapless victim of circumstance.

Daniel Gregory is a crisis Antifa actor. Ask Trump, he’ll tell you all about it.

Well that excuse worked well for the Charlottesville rasist…Not

He’d have done himself more good by saying, ā€œOops! My bad.ā€

He told police that his brother works at the precinct, and that he didn’t want to ā€œshameā€ him.

Privilege.

Does everybody drive with upholstered firearm in the passenger seat?

Until we get the results back from the lab I’m thinking a mix of wingnut rage, suicidal ideation, a sudden attack of cold feet, and a whole lot of innate bad judgment.

The MAGA excuses have gone from the ridiculous to the sublime for trying to commit mass murder. No, dotard, you don’t get a Mulligan with this defense.

That was my thought. There is no stand your ground law in Washington that gives gun owners more rights than non-gun-owners.

Reaching for the gun is response number one? Not reaching for the button to roll up the windows? Or reaching for the PRNDL to reverse direction?

And it just happened to be on the passenger seat, loaded and ready to be used.
