Man Who Disrupted Reporter’s Ida Live Shot Almost Caused ‘Environmental Disaster’ In Ohio | Talking Points Memo

I read about this yesterday and was floored. HCN…that shit is one of the most lethal substances on earth and this guy drilled holes in a tank of it? It is a miracle he didn’t create a mini Bhopal disaster and yet…he walks free.

Where’s 3 strikes when you need it? Melanin sends folks to life behind bars for shoplifting a pair of shears or five years for voting but this fat slob gets bupkis?

It takes real serious effort to be as stupid as Mr Dagley. This is a classic example of what I have for years called “deliberate stupidity”. I warned my medical students about it in every semester I taught.

He almost created a gas chamber for incoming morning employees. Environmental disasters are bad, without doubt. But there was a much more immediate and deadly intention.

If you have doubts, read the description of his actions again. Hint — pretend it’s 1918 in northern France. Also, a sandwich condiment that isn’t mayo.

I really would like to know what Ohio-Man was doing tooling around a hurricane zone and accosting reporters.

Apparently, violating his parole; so, my preference for his internment may become the reality.

I’d say “not yet”, considering this:

Dagley was sentenced to five years on probation and 30 days in jail; ordered to undergo anger management; and forced to pay $15,370 in restitution and a $5,000 fine.
[…]
The Gulfport Police Department charged Dagley with two counts of simple assault, one count of disturbance of the peace and one count of violation of emergency curfew.

Getting charged with assault (on camera, out of state) doesn’t usually interact very well with “on probation”. In fact, those two things interact about as well together as sodium cyanide and hydrochloric acid.

Relish Gas? Ketchup Gas? Russian Dressing Gas? What are you hinting at?

He should demand his money back.

Court records from Cuyahoga County obtained by TPM show that Dagley ultimately pleaded guilty in 2018 to attempted felonious assault, inducing panic, and vandalism in the case. Dagley was sentenced to five years on probation and 30 days in jail

I’ve known shoplifters who got a tougher sentence. This guy endangered an entire town just out of spite??? And got off with a gentle brush on the wrist?

He should demand his money back.

He may do it, but only if he were armed with a gun to their heads.

Some never even get to trial and pay dearly…

I have to assume he was in the process of losing it through mismanagement
