I’m listening right now to the Merrick Garland testimony to the Senate. Where Sen. Cornyn (R-Texas) is yelling at Garland to admit that Garland’s memos are putting a “chill” on parents’ rights to be involved with their children’s education and their rights to speak at School Board meetings. Where the parents are threatening School Boards and its members with harm, harrassment, and death to members and their children. Then, Sen. Mike Lee (R- Utah) comes back with the same argument that Cornyn failed at. What posturing, what a joke.
BTW, every time I hear Sen Klobuchar speak, I remain convinced that she would make a wonderful AG.
But, yes, the threats against Matt are still legally actionable and should be pursued. I wish the threats against Congress members, and even the Vice President, on January 6th, were being pursued as rigorously as against this joker from California, with as much potential for jail time and punishment.
OT, but “study” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!! Ideological shout at the clouds manifesto because the GQP and its oligarch owners are fucking PISSED that labor has decided it’s done working for sub-subsistence wages and that the additional assistance programs are finally crossing the threshold into giving labor the leverage to say fuck it and not accept jobs that won’t support their families. They want you facing the choice between being homeless and starving to death or being employed so that you earn just enough to afford to eat catfood.
The data, of course, does not support anything they’re saying.

The thing with Garland is that we don’t know that they aren’t. I think we got so used to Trumper AGs announcing every investigation and leaking like Niagra Falls that we assume we’d know something if Garland’s DOJ was investigating the 1/6 planners, but we probably won’t know anything unless and until there are arrests. It’s frustrating as hell, and yet that’s how the DOJ is supposed to operate.
