Delay Covid response
Delay tax return compliance
Delay vote by mail so it cannot be counted
Trump is the Deadly Delay King
Deadly to our lives, our rule of law and our democracy!

Trump is suppressing the votes through USPS while cheating to win re-election by asking for foreign help (Russia, China and any other despotic countries)!

It’s the jail thing…

I’m gonna leave said the coincidence of this hurting mail in voting. (because its not a coincidence). and just say, can Dems about fucking time start to take back this bullshit narrative that’s been going on for decades that business people should run government services as fucking businesses and not public services that may have to loose money for the public good please!

No help from Russia this time, so by golly we’ll screw with the Postal Service to try to keep all those Dems from voting by mail. But, of course, you can still go in person and risk getting sick. I’m sure the POS will come up with something else to curb voting in person.
THIS HAS TO BE ILLEGAL!

“Trump’s campaign to overhaul the Postal Service …”

You misspelled “sabotage.”

This kind of concerted and focused electoral sabotage is antidote to the times I am tempted to overemphasize the incompetence of this administration. When it comes to evil, these TrumPublicans seem to know their business.

I heard from the voter registration office in my new town that they will likely start sending out ballots in Sept and so far they haven’t had that many people wanting to vote by mail. However, people wait till the last minute, she said. Hope getting it in September will allow it to get back to be counted by Nov, surely, surely. I will walk the damn thing over.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was a letter carrier for a number of years. Ballots and other election pieces are first class mail, which always receives precedence. If mail has to be held to curtail overtime, it will be bulk rate “junk” mail that’s left on the floor.

But, the real danger is the effort to drive the postal service out of business, in favor of the sacred private sector. The postal service is not a business, but a vital part of civic life that guarantees service to everyone, rich or poor, urban or rural, for the same rate. Every civilized nation has a strong postal service; it’s one of the ties that binds a nation. Of course, Republicans want to destroy it.

Can’t even ask in my state until August.

This has been in the works for awhile. Almost like someone wants to discourage, disrupt, delay, dismantle, and destroy the ability to vote by mail.

And I bet there’s a plan in place to cause more delays in certain zip codes while streamlining delivery in others. Just guess how that’ll work.

This is a feature, not a bug. Old White Men clinging to power, and more importantly to them, the wealth and lifestyle they have become accustomed to. They will not relinquish these without a fight. And fight them we must.

No they fucking aren’t, they are looking at it as a tool in their efforts to ratfuck the election by hampering mail in voting, which they have repeatedly railed against as hurting their chances of winning. Ignoring that reality and pretending this is just some ideological disconnect over how government should operate like a business is fucking enabling at this point.

Since I moved to a temporary place after my house sold too fast then couldn’t find another house for many months, I’ve changed my voting address twice. The first time I learned that they hadn’t acknowledged it because there was a primary. I changed it again, and got a letter telling me where to vote. Called and told them I had requested it by mail, the person looked and said it was there. I’m trusting it will work, but I’m not dropping the ball.

I’m old enough to remember when the Carter Center, one of the premier, most incorruptible election observers on the planet, was expressly denied permission to observe US elections. Come to think of it, so are you.

It still is, by the way.
