A closed-primary is designed to prevent that. It won’t be easy to vote for Cassidy, you’d have to sign on as a republican first. I don’t know that anyone should put any effort into a place as deep red as Louisiana. It’s like going to Pakistan and denouncing the Quran. This guy is toast. Better to spend the resources somewhere else that is at least slightly purple.

My thinking was to use this as an example of sowing division between other candidates and other coalitions. My comments were regarding the general election.Not necessarily to plow resources into this particular primary. Break up the MAGA. MAHA, MERDE, DODO movements and break up their votes. Democrats should avoid the same trap.

Exactly. “Divide and conquer” has been military and political strategy for several thousand years now. Republicans have been using it against feckless and diverse Democrats for decades. There’s nothing wrong in exacerbating and exploiting the natural divisions in your opponents’ base. It’s good strategy, long tested by time.

i have no idea why wnyone has any confidence in a drug addict, recovered or not..he is still an addict..anyone who has lived with or close to a drug addict, knows they will probably back -slide on any given day., in one form or another…if you posses any old dr.spock books.or any other book regarding the health of young children,hang on to them, your grands may need them.i read that some DRs. are refusing to allow unvaccinated kids to sit in their waiting , to protect other patients..
