MAGA World Thinks The Sketchy AZ Audit Will Pave The Way To A 2020 Reversal | Talking Points Memo

I am upset!!! Even though this “audit” concerns ballots in Maricopa county only and I live south of there I still am pissed because my state’s senate has devalued my vote by this bullshit.

If only they’d blast themselves off to Pluto it would be a relief to those of us firmly rooted here.

Where is the rapture when you really need it?

With 618,000+ total deaths (abt 360,000 for the Union and 258,000 for the Confederacy), I’m not sure it could be said to have gone terribly well for either side. It did end slavery, and we got the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments out of it, but it took 100 years before there was any real enforcement of those Amendments, and more than 150 years after the war, racism remains one of the central problems of the nation.

Post hoc: fixed a typo.

Supposing they discover something that is not insignificant. It won’t cause a new slate of state electors to be chosen and at this point, the outcome of the election cannot be changed.

Whatever is found will lack credibility because the audit is inherently biased. It is not a transparent recount and the results are intended for the media. Their goal is to support Trump’s claim the election was stolen. They are searching for whatever specious reasons they find to claim a certain percentage of ballots in this Democrat-rich district should not have been counted. Of course the math will show that Trump would have won but for the ballots that should not have been counted. What is missing of course is an audit of Republican districts.

For the initial vote counting - and every recount - Republicans kicked and screamed they weren’t able to be close enough to see ever ballot and read every name on each absentee envelope. The yelled and sued and jumped up and down and held their breath that they weren’t allowed to exam, photograph and touch every scrap of paper. They are passing laws in multiple states that prohibit outside funds from being used to pay for anything related to the election.

And then there’s they are running the “audit” in Arizona. The only thing missing is double secret probation!

I hear you and I can only imagine your pain. There is so much flagrant flags flying around this operation. I am surprised the judge hadn’t call an end to this mess!

It’s way more than that. It’s intended to take total lunacy and turn it into conventional wisdom a la “Questions continue to swirl around the 2020 vote.” I don’t think the MSM will bite on this like they did Hillary’s email, but count on it being covered 24/7 on the wingnut outlets and giving republican legislatures the cover they need to pass their voter suppression bills.

I’m wondering where is the Supreme Court! They stopped the count in Florida on a dime, but this one they’re just letting go?

Yes and the U.S. Civil War is often held up as history’s most horrible. That doesn’t make it a more sensible choice

Ideally -

  • A. if there is grotesque fabrication to “create” an “new” outcome - there will be charges brought against the manipulators for attempting to perpetrate a fraud

or

  • B. nothing of merit is found - nothing changes …

but do have to guess that - the crazies ate this far off course that they will take the plunge into fabrication. But they will need a real clueless idiot to stand up and swear to the lies under oath - remember that Rudy folded up immediately when asked to say -under oath / in court … what he would rant about on the courthouse steps.

Democrats are “terrified” of the “alleged massive fraud” the audit may expose.

FIFY

Democrats are “overjoyed” of the “alleged massive fraud” the audit may expose in the GOP.

Which will bolster the extreme voter restrictions being inbred around the South and give cover to the federal push when (they hope) the GOP takes back control of the House in the 2022 mid-terms.

Yup, same thing. But it says a free account will allow you to read articles, and I have a free account. And it comes and goes.

If they manage to pass that, then we need to start gearing up to fight for a Constitutional Amendment to take away the whole ill-conceived Electoral College system. It has been causing trouble from the very beginning, and I can’t see where it has ever done any good that counters the harm that can come from it.

The AZ audit will resolve nothing.

I think they’re hoping to come up with few votes to claim a different number, but not enough to change the election. Just enough for Fox to spin as “imagine what they’ll find if they let us REALLY look.”

This is a game two can play. Any different result they claim to have found will have to be confirmed by another count. All we have to do is find a different number.

Get the matter in a court, and it’ll be tied up until Kamala’s second term ; - )

That the dollar is official is not the point. We put sanctions against Iran so that they could not trade in dollars however they are now selling oil to China and getting paid in yuan, which they then use to buy products from China and the increasing number of countries accepting the yuan. Most of the new trade agreements between these countries are accepting several difference currencies. China is ignoring our sanctions because they can.

Wars and retribution can have unexpected consequences. This time around, America’s geopolitical targets are preparing to shield themselves from the dollar hegemony. Procedures and plans are in process to bypass the dollar in international trade and use national currencies instead. These moves have picked momentum.

Russia and China have initiated several measures like cross-border inter-bank payment systems parallel to the SWIFT. Both have increased gold holdings to back their currencies and initiated national currency swap agreements in several regional and bilateral arrangements where they play a role.

Bypassing the Dollar: The Rise of Alternate Currency Systems (thewire.in)
. Beijing also established the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank with an impressive $100 billion in capital and 103 member nations. More recently, China has formed the world’s largest trade bloc with 14 Asia-Pacific partners and, over Washington’s strenuous objections, signed an ambitious financial services agreement with the European Union.
And of course China’s new digital yuan - so far we have no freakin idea how to counter it. Washington is worried it will be used to bypass sanctions (our only real power) and eventually replace the dollar.

So your little link to today may very soon have no relevance.

The Chinese aphorism “hide your capability and bide your time” is clearly popular in much of Eurasia’s national currency transitions.

The Supreme Court can’t just decide willy-nilly to weigh in on something that is not even a case. Somebody has to file a federal suit, and to do that, they have to have standing to file it.

Or perhaps you’re whistling through the graveyard wearing rose colored glasses. Washington and the big banks are worried so maybe you should be too. It’s not China telling us we have reason to be concerned, it’s our own government and the Federal Reserve that I’m sourcing. The fact that you don’t like what I’m saying has no basis in reality.

And saying I’m propagating Chinese propaganda by quoting international financial sources is just a sign the sun is setting in your part of the country.

… or - it could be like Pennsylvania - where when the dust settled, they claimed that they were correct and that they found “fraud” … but it was

  • fraud committed by Republicans
  • literally less than could be counted on one hand

… but they nonetheless claimed it as proving their point!

Sort of like the Duggars shouting
“See! we were right - there is perversion in the youth of America!!”
