Nah, I’m going small ball, focusing on community-level stuff, with the occasional call to yell at my elected officials. National-level institutions have failed. Time to start building power from the ground up by taking care of folks closer to home.
If the Dem party starts believing in something and fighting for it in the mean time, great. But it’s not going to get there bc I was mean to them on the internet or said real loud they’re not getting my measly few dollars in donations anymore.

At some point even the dumbest person catches on. Read the bit and cut out the parts about money and you have little left. It’s what Trump’s about and the dumbest are sure to wake up.
Who in their right mind thinks that Trump II will last 4 years? If he does just half what he has promised to do he’ll be fucking over 90 % of the American people and 100 % of the international community. He’s selected a cabinet that seems tailored for chaos and advisors that are going to say “hell yes” to his worst impulses. He’s not going to lower the cost of living for working class and middle class Americans. The Panama canal will never be returned. Canada will cut back on America and Greenland will stay as it always has. The war in Ukraine will continue while he tries to end it to Russia’s advantage. The much touted “cease fire” in Gaza will flare right back up as soon as Israel gets a few hostages back. On Trump’s watch. Drill baby drill will do squat to lower gas prices…it will probably elevate them and Trump’s dependence on big oil money will lead to a wholesale fucking of America. Manufacturing’s not coming back and the titans of that sector will let Trump know it in curt terms. He’ll fold.

Ask yourself: in all that we’ve seen of the guy, in how he’s assembled his administration and his stated agenda…what are the chances he succeeds with the American people. We hear over and over that he’s surrounded by a cadre of sycophants and that’s true. But there are 330 million OTHER Americans out there. His administration is designed to fail.

Not at all sure about my mind, but I can’t imagine trump still walking this Earth in 4 years. With his blubbery body, his dietary habits, his long history of drug use & his lack of exercise he is a walking time-bomb (in more ways than one).
He is 2 years older than I am, and he BETTER not outlive me!
