Let’s be proud of it

“We’re a couple of days away from being out of masks. We’re buying gowns on Ebay in some cases,”

“we have not seen the peak of this crisis yet”

US total confirmed infected 69,246, Death toll at 1046…

Meanwhile…all the lying, denying, delaying and doctoring that’s causing all these shortages is all about = Covidiot Trump’s reelection while more than 1K Americans died! What a depraved person!

American Lives FOR Covidiot Trump’s Reelection

American Lives FOR Wallstreet/Trump$$$

How unconsionable is that?

Addendum:

A Mt. Sinai in NY nurse died from Covid-19 because they are running out of PPE and had to wear trash bags! = This is an unnecessary death! This is on you Covidiot Trump!

A better president could unify us in common purpose. But while Trump declares himself a “wartime president,” he seems most skilled at civil warfare. He contributes false assurances, disinformation and attacks on Democratic governors.

It’s a blessing, then, that, as The Post’s Philip Rucker reports, Trump has been playing “a back-seat role” in key areas that “belies his omnipresence in the national media.” The president largely left the stimulus bill to lawmakers and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

This suggests a welcome, if tacit, recognition that Trump doesn’t have what it takes to lead in crisis. His greatest service would be to get out of the way. While our head of state plays talking head, our headless state would carry on better without him.

This is a disgraceful situation. No help from the Orange Shitgibbon. A day late and a dollar short. And he wants to send people back to work. This pandemic shows the world that we have become a third world country with a dictator who cares nothing about anyone except his donors and billionaires. Pulling my hair out.

Above normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic is forecast for this season, on top of Covid-19. It’s getting very hard to accept all of this winning.

Brooklyn will never disappoint. But the boy from Queens surely will every damned day.

I hope Puerto Rico is spared this year. The last thing they need is another hurricane or two.

Speaking for myself, I am damned sick and tired…but I have yet to see any evidence of winning.

President Donald Trump has yet to invoke the Defense Production Act, which health care providers say is urgently needed to help states mitigate the medical supply shortages, particularly ventilators. Trump refused to do so after major corporations lobbied against the move, according to the New York Times.

And this is the main problem - not his lies, his idiocy, his spitefulness - it is continuing to govern by profit motive. By refusing to use the Defense Production Act. he is crippling the country’s ability to produce needed medical supplies at a reasonable cost as a wartime effort, and instead encouraging piecemael production and forcing hospitals to bid against each other and against FEMA to get what they need.

And what’s the “reason” for this? Companies are worried they’re not going to be compensated? WTF?

There are workers on those factory lines who have to make the equipment, you think they should be working for free?
