Rest in peace, and thank you for all you have done.
But dammit. You deserved to live and die in a Trump-free world.

Seriously, what fucking Diety decides to give Bernie a heart attack and Takes Elijah away but leaves us with Trump.

Also, how much younger was Elijah than some of our presidential aspirants?

R.I.P.
Who’s second in command on Oversight?

This news made me cry so hard. How is it possible that this good, upstanding man is gone and vile ones live on to wreak havoc and destruction?

I am not a believer, but if I were, I would envision Elijah sitting at the right hand of God whispering in his ear to deliver righteous justice on the evil lying pestilence in the White House, so he could complete his final assignment and truly rest in peace.

Same here, not a believer, but I do like the idea that he has ultimate Oversight from above

What a terrible loss.

He was, as Martin Luther King would say, “a drum major for justice.”

Sad news in the morning.

This x 1000

I’ve said before that we named our youngest with him in mind. So much work and possibilities lost.

Why couldn’t it have been Moscow Mitch?

There is a long list of folks more deserving of an untimely death than Elijiah.

This is extremely sad news. This man that fought for justice for so many years is now gone. Who can replace him?

Very sad news! I had been worried about Nadler and didn’t know that Cummings was having health issues.

And that just shows how far removed we are from normal protocols.

The normal protocol of course is for the WH to release the appropriate statement showing grief and mourning. At best…we will get nothing. More likely, we will get something snarky on Twitter.

I expect someone at the WH snagged his phone and offered to write the Tweet for him.

We will be able to tell from the proper grammar and spelling.

At least he was in the fight to the very end. Patriotism can ask no more of any man.
